My main use case for Netlify Platform is hosting. I host sites with environment variables or without them as a place to map over to GitHub, so every time I push, it automatically deploys to production. It is very convenient. Domain management is available in Netlify Platform, but that is not my primary use.

Automated deployments have streamlined hosting workflows and save significant development time
Pros and Cons
- "If others are looking into using Netlify Platform, I would advise that if you do not have crazy technical requirements, it is a very good option."
- "The only thing I really do not like about Netlify Platform is that when I look up an article, there is a lot of fluff instead of easily searchable content."
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
Netlify Platform offers many features. The automation is the best feature of Netlify Platform. It is easy to use. Netlify Platform has positively impacted my organization by being very productive. I have saved a lot of time overall. It is easier to debug if builds break, which is a workflow that has become more efficient because of Netlify Platform.
What needs improvement?
The only thing I really do not like about Netlify Platform is that when I look up an article, there is a lot of fluff instead of easily searchable content. That might be my only complaint, but I like the interface. Everything is very obvious and easy to learn.
It would be cool if Netlify Platform had suggestions on how I could use features because I know there are many features that I may not understand how they work and I am unaware of. With artificial intelligence, being able to learn based on behavior, it might provide a notification like 'Hey, this feature, here is how to learn more,' or something similar.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Netlify Platform for around six years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Netlify Platform is usually stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Netlify Platform's scalability is pretty good since I have no issues with it.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I was previously using Bluehost, and I have hosted some things through GitHub Pages. I have used DigitalOcean before, which is not necessarily hosting but more about housing different droplets. I do not do anything crazy technical, so I use SvelteKit, which is a full-stack platform for building apps, and usually Neon or I have used Supabase or local Postgres. Netlify Platform is good at handling environment variables, loading up files, and being ready to go.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for Netlify Platform is that the pricing is reasonable. It is a small team, so it was not too expensive. It was very easy to set up a team and start adding projects.
What other advice do I have?
If others are looking into using Netlify Platform, I would advise that if you do not have crazy technical requirements, it is a very good option. Even as a solo developer, it is basically free. It is really nice if you are deploying many sites through repositories to map it to your main branch and auto-deploy. This is a game changer as a developer.
I would like to say to Netlify Platform team to keep doing what you are doing. I am looking forward to seeing what you do in the future. I give this review a rating of 10.

Automatic branch previews and DNS management have transformed how I deploy personal projects
Pros and Cons
- "Netlify Platform positively impacts my organization by saving us a lot of time, which in turn saves us a lot of money."
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Netlify Platform is mostly hosting personal projects.
A quick specific example of a personal project I've used Netlify Platform for is a website that was for bike drivers and riders to rent bikes for non-e-hailing, e-delivery purposes.
Most sites that I've launched are websites. I do appreciate some of the features, such as having automatic deployment to my branches so that I could check them out and review them before merging them into my main branch without having to set up a custom subdomain testing pipeline. It's all automatic in Netlify Platform's product.
What is most valuable?
In my opinion, the best features Netlify Platform offers include managing my DNS, which I really appreciate and have used extensively, and automatic deployments.
The UI of Netlify Platform is fantastic and very easy to navigate. It is very easy to understand what Netlify Platform does, what it can offer you, and how your product can be shipped through Netlify Platform. The build times are amazing and very optimized for my projects, particularly the pre-built configurations for deployment, especially since most of my projects are Next.js projects.
Netlify Platform positively impacts my organization by saving us a lot of time, which in turn saves us a lot of money. In terms of workflows, testing is a breeze; having your branches spin up subdomains for testing is really a game changer. At a previous company I worked at, we spent six months building that, and getting it for free out of the box with Netlify Platform is a real game changer.
What needs improvement?
Regarding improvements for Netlify Platform, I cannot think of anything I wish was different or features I feel are missing. Whenever there's a new feature on Netlify Platform, it's always just remarkable. If I do use it, it makes sense to use, but there's definitely never been a case where I felt Netlify Platform was missing something. Every time they add something new, it just makes sense for them to add it to the platform.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Netlify Platform for the last eight years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Netlify Platform is relatively stable. I did have one issue where my edge functions weren't firing, but it was resolved quickly.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I haven't built anything that has scaled yet on Netlify Platform, but when I get there, I'll be able to share that information.
How are customer service and support?
I only used the customer support for Netlify Platform once, and it was fairly seamless.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Before using Netlify Platform, I was using Vercel and AWS Amplify. Both of those were a little bit too complicated, and I spent more time in their documentation than actually using the platforms. For me, Netlify Platform was a real game changer because I didn't have to spend as much time in documentation; everything was pretty simple.
How was the initial setup?
I have had a good experience with pricing, setup costs, and licensing.
What was our ROI?
I feel it's a general positive feeling regarding return on investment.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I didn't evaluate other options before choosing Netlify Platform; I just switched from the ones that I was using to Netlify Platform.
What other advice do I have?
My advice to others looking into using Netlify Platform is that they should use it because it's very good. I do not have any additional thoughts about Netlify Platform. I would rate this review an 8.

Automatic updates have supported my motivational quote project and simplify my workflow
Pros and Cons
- "Netlify Platform positively impacts my project by making updates easier and saving time."
- "While Netlify Platform mostly works with the front end, I believe it would be better if it provided support for full stack applications, acknowledging the risks and complexities of offering this for free to students."
What is our primary use case?
My project is hosted on Netlify Platform and is built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It is a quote generator that provides a new quote every time a user wants to access a motivational quote. Netlify Platform provides an easier way to connect directly from my GitHub repository to hosting. This project works best because if I complete any changes, Netlify Platform reflects them automatically, so I can give my link to my professor and any changes will be automatically updated for any other user accessing that link.
What is most valuable?
Netlify Platform helps me with this project by allowing me to build my project in VS Code and upload the code into a GitHub repository. From there, I post my GitHub repository link to Netlify Platform, which hosts my project on Google Cloud Platform and provides me a link for anyone to access my project.
The best features Netlify Platform offers are fast, free hosting, and it is GitHub-connected, which I think is the best feature. Netlify Platform positively impacts my project by making updates easier and saving time. I mainly work on my personal or college projects on Netlify Platform, which saves me a lot of time and energy.
What needs improvement?
While Netlify Platform mostly works with the front end, I believe it would be better if it provided support for full stack applications, acknowledging the risks and complexities of offering this for free to students.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Netlify Platform is stable and has been reliable for me.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
In my experience, Netlify Platform's scalability is good as it easily handles more users.
How are customer service and support?
I did not reach out to customer support for Netlify Platform because I did not need it.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Negative
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I did not previously use a different solution before Netlify Platform. However, I have used AWS Cloud sometimes, but it is not easy to use, making Netlify Platform a better option.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I searched for Netlify Platform only before choosing it, so I did not evaluate other options.
What other advice do I have?
I uploaded my project code and the repository to Netlify Platform. Netlify Platform is deployed in my project using a public cloud. I use Google Cloud as my cloud provider with Netlify Platform. I tell my friends and my colleagues to use Netlify Platform because it is free, easy, fast, and a very good application. I would rate this product a 9 out of 10.

Rapid hosting has simplified my CI/CD workflows but still needs better hybrid integration options
Pros and Cons
- "Netlify Platform is a great cloud computing platform designed to simplify the development, deployment, and scaling of modern applications, so it is very good for beginners, especially."
- "I think it should integrate a specific front-end or back-end, and it could connect with other deploying platforms, which could bring some benefit of hosting a back-end on another website and deploying a front-end on another website."
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Netlify Platform is that I hosted one of my projects there, and I use it solely for hosting.
A quick, specific example of the project I hosted on Netlify Platform is that it was a kind of chat application.
The chat application I developed was not real-time, but I used Socket.IO for real-time chatting.
What is most valuable?
Netlify Platform is a cloud computing platform, so it is very easy to deploy there and also scale modern applications. It is serverless, where I can deploy my application via serverless function, so Netlify Platform manages my whole application, just as AWS does.
Netlify Platform offers best features including automated CI/CD, serverless function, global edge network, and deploy preview, which are key features that I appreciate.
Out of those features, I find myself relying on automated CI/CD the most because as soon as I commit anything on my GitHub, it directly picks up and deploys it on that server rather than doing manual work.
Additionally, I think the serverless function stands out because I can just run my backend logic without managing the server using Netlify function, which is provided by AWS Lambda, and it also supports JavaScript, TypeScript, and Go.
Netlify Platform has positively impacted my organization and my projects because it does make things easier. I watched a YouTube tutorial and deployed it, and it was very quick.
What needs improvement?
I am not much aware of deploying platforms right now, so I don't have many suggestions for how Netlify Platform can be improved.
I feel that there could be improvements. I think it should integrate a specific front-end or back-end, and it could connect with other deploying platforms, which could bring some benefit of hosting a back-end on another website and deploying a front-end on another website. I think it should use a hybrid model.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Netlify Platform since I hosted a project in my college, so I have worked with it for between one to two months.
What other advice do I have?
My advice for others looking into using Netlify Platform is that if you want to deploy your website very easily and very quickly, then you should try Netlify Platform.
I want to add that Netlify Platform is a great cloud computing platform designed to simplify the development, deployment, and scaling of modern applications, so it is very good for beginners, especially.
I would rate Netlify Platform a seven or seven and a half on a scale of one to ten. I choose seven for my rating because it is very easy to deploy a website there and it offers automated CI/CD, serverless function, and especially global edge network.

Instant deployments have accelerated my hobby projects and simplified team collaboration
Pros and Cons
- "Netlify Platform has positively impacted my organization by boosting productivity; we can instantly deploy and save time."
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Netlify Platform is for hobby purposes and for testing purposes. For example, I need to deploy some instant React applications, so I use it for that. I can instantly deploy with only one command, connect to GitHub, and directly using Netlify Platform, I deploy my React applications.
I do not have anything else to add about my main use case or how I use Netlify Platform.
What is most valuable?
The best features Netlify Platform offers include the instant connect to GitHub directly; just run one command and it deploys the app.
The instant GitHub integration and one-command deployment save me time and make things easier.
Netlify Platform has positively impacted my organization by boosting productivity; we can instantly deploy and save time. Additionally, for collaboration, multiple developers can connect and collaborate with it.
What needs improvement?
I don't think Netlify Platform can be improved; it already has a lot of features, it's good, and everything is good. So currently, I don't think so from my side.
I wish Netlify Platform would implement features such as Python support, FastAPI, and all those things; back-end things, not just for static files such as React and Next.js, but also support for Python.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Netlify Platform for around three years to deploy my React applications.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Netlify Platform is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Netlify Platform's scalability is good; I work with five people simultaneously, and I think it has good traffic handling and all those things. I also check analytics in Netlify Platform and implement things such as exact count and all that.
How are customer service and support?
I haven't had a chance to interact with customer support for Netlify Platform; I think everything is in the documents and all that, so I didn't have a chance to connect with customer care.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I previously used Vercel before Netlify Platform; then later, one of my friends suggested I try Netlify Platform, so I tried it and it had a different overview and UI. I love all the things in Netlify Platform.
What was our ROI?
I have seen a return on investment with Netlify Platform; it's money saved. Also, for a free user, for testing purposes, they can also deploy applications and save their time. Additionally, for the personal, pro, and enterprise plans, I think it's a good platform.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I did not evaluate other options before choosing Netlify Platform; currently, I just use Netlify Platform.
What other advice do I have?
My advice for others looking into using Netlify Platform is simply this: you can just use Netlify Platform and check your experience. It was good.
I think Netlify Platform already has a lot of features. Other platforms don't have some features, but in Netlify Platform, a lot of features are already provided. So I love Netlify Platform.
I give this review an overall rating of ten out of ten.

Hosting student web projects has been simplified while full-stack database workflows still need support
Pros and Cons
- "The most important benefit of Netlify Platform for my organization is that it is cost-effective; I can share my code and deploy my applications free of cost without having to spend any money, and most importantly, I don't have to purchase my domains, which is very beneficial for myself and my students."
- "When deploying my applications on Netlify Platform, I face some problems like environment variables, especially when I connect my web-based project to my database, and when I have to deploy a full stack web application, then I face a lot of issues regarding those variables, but for front-end, it runs smoothly."
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Netlify Platform is that most of my projects are web-based, and I deploy those on Netlify Platform for my students so they can keep everything locally and host it for the students without sharing the code, ensuring that everything runs smoothly on cloud-based infrastructure.
What is most valuable?
For front-end web applications, Netlify Platform offers a lot of convenience to users, and I have observed that it provides a lot of feasibility for users to deploy their code without any trouble, and error handling is very easy.
Regarding the error handling on Netlify Platform, when I use the application to update environment variables, it quickly grabs the variables and updates immediately from GitHub, and when I commit my code, it retrieves those variables and all the code, making it very useful for me.
The most important benefit of Netlify Platform for my organization is that it is cost-effective; I can share my code and deploy my applications free of cost without having to spend any money, and most importantly, I don't have to purchase my domains, which is very beneficial for myself and my students.
What needs improvement?
When deploying my applications on Netlify Platform, I face some problems like environment variables, especially when I connect my web-based project to my database, and when I have to deploy a full stack web application, then I face a lot of issues regarding those variables, but for front-end, it runs smoothly.
I want to suggest that Netlify Platform adds the ability to access databases and also allows back-end applications to be deployed at the same platform, as I have to deploy my server on Vercel, making it very difficult for full-stack development.
I want to give feedback about Netlify Platform, suggesting that it should be user-centric and more convenient for database and server-based applications, allowing full-stack web applications to be deployed on the same platform.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working on Netlify Platform for three to four years, starting when I was a student at the University of Gujarat, but from one week ago, I stopped using it due to my busy schedule, and I cannot manage my time to proceed with anything particular related to Netlify Platform, so I stopped working on projects.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Netlify Platform is very stable for every individual.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The scalability of Netlify Platform handles growth and increased demand.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I did not purchase anything for setup cost or licensing.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I evaluated other options before choosing Netlify Platform, specifically Vercel and GitHub pages to deploy my projects.
What other advice do I have?
There are a lot of benefits I have received from Netlify Platform, and I always prefer it to others to utilize all the features.

Automated web deployments have improved my academic projects and personal portfolio sharing
Pros and Cons
- "Netlify Web Development Cloud has positively impacted my organization and projects as once deployed, applications remain live without manual intervention, with downtime being very rare and performance remaining consistent due to its global CDN, allowing me to focus completely on building the application rather than managing deployment processes or hosting complexities while noting many changes in efficiency, speed, and excellent feedback from my reviewers regarding low latency compared to other platforms."
- "Netlify Web Development Cloud does have limitations as it is not suitable for back-end heavy or long-running server applications, and its free tier imposes usage limits on bandwidth, build minutes, and functions, with advanced features such as analytics and background functions being paid features while offering limited infrastructure-level customization compared to container-based platforms which can be more restrictive for large-scale or enterprise applications."
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Netlify Web Development Cloud is deploying my applications, such as deploying my personal applications so that everyone can access my made application through a link.
I use Netlify Web Development Cloud for academic web development projects, personal learning and practice projects, React-based front-end applications, static websites for demonstrations, and portfolio purposes, with these applications hosted publicly for easy access by faculty, peers, and reviewers without any local setup.
How has it helped my organization?
Netlify Web Development Cloud has positively impacted my organization and projects as once deployed, applications remain live without manual intervention, with downtime being very rare and performance remaining consistent due to its global CDN, allowing me to focus completely on building the application rather than managing deployment processes or hosting complexities while noting many changes in efficiency, speed, and excellent feedback from my reviewers regarding low latency compared to other platforms.
Regarding specific outcomes or metrics, the deployment with Netlify Web Development Cloud is completed within seconds, making it faster than other platforms such as Vercel and GitHub Pages, and my feedback cycle with reviewers is excellent with their experience of very fast tab switching and component analysis.
What is most valuable?
In my experience with Netlify Web Development Cloud, it is very beginner-friendly, offering automatic continuous integration and continuous deployment from Git, containing the fastest global CDN, providing free SSL certificates and easy custom domains, excellent support for modern front-end frameworks, and a quick rollback capability if any issue occurs, requiring little effort and containing a minimal learning curve.
For me, the aspect that stands out as the most valuable in Netlify Web Development Cloud is its beginner-friendly setup, which I highly recommend for beginners and students, front-end developers, and those learning CI/CD workflows due to its easy adoption.
For me, the most valuable feature of Netlify Web Development Cloud is its automation and ease of use, where once a GitHub repository is connected, every code push automatically triggers a build and deployment, rollbacks to previous versions are instant and fast, HTTPS is enabled by default, and applications are served through a global CDN, significantly reducing deployment time and effort.
What needs improvement?
Netlify Web Development Cloud does have limitations as it is not suitable for back-end heavy or long-running server applications, and its free tier imposes usage limits on bandwidth, build minutes, and functions, with advanced features such as analytics and background functions being paid features while offering limited infrastructure-level customization compared to container-based platforms which can be more restrictive for large-scale or enterprise applications.
Regarding improvements for Netlify Web Development Cloud, I find that documentation and everything is not required to have much improvement as they are easily understandable for beginner levels.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have used Netlify Web Development Cloud for three to four months, mainly for learning, academic work, and deploying my personal projects.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
In my experience, Netlify Web Development Cloud is very stable and reliable, with applications remaining live without manual intervention, rare downtime, and consistent performance due to its global CDN.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I have never faced scalability issues with Netlify Web Development Cloud because I have only worked on the free tier for my personal projects, with scale up, down, or handling more traffic maintained by Netlify support, requiring payment only if I need my project to be on a larger scale, while interacting positively with the friendly Netlify support team who assist with any issues quickly.
How are customer service and support?
I would rate customer support of Netlify Web Development Cloud an eight out of ten.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I previously used Vercel and GitHub Pages for deployment, but I switched to Netlify Web Development Cloud due to its ease of use, automation, rollback support, and additional features.
How was the initial setup?
Netlify Web Development Cloud runs on its own managed cloud infrastructure, backed by global CDN providers, so I do not need to choose a separate cloud provider.
My experience with the pricing, setup cost, and licensing of Netlify Web Development Cloud has been favorable as I have used the free tier, which is sufficient for beginner levels and personal projects, with a pricing structure that is fair, and the initial setup being extremely easy, requiring no installation, just creating an account and connecting a Git repository to complete deployment within minutes using a beginner-friendly UI.
Regarding relevant metrics, the deployment is completed within seconds and everything is updated on the platform with the proper beginner-friendly UI, saving me more time and money since unlike using AWS cloud or any other cloud platform where a domain is required, Netlify provides free domains that help beginners enhance their skill set by deploying personal projects.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Before choosing Netlify Web Development Cloud, I evaluated other options including Vercel and GitHub Pages, but selected Netlify because of its ease of use and automation.
What other advice do I have?
My advice for others looking into using Netlify Web Development Cloud is to highly recommend it for beginners and front-end developers wanting to understand modern deployment and CI/CD workflows, though for full-stack, back-end intensive, or large-scale applications, it is better to combine Netlify with external back-end services or migrate to container-based or cloud platforms such as Docker or AWS.
Netlify Web Development Cloud is primarily designed for beginners and students, for front-end developers, and mainly focuses on personal and portfolio projects for beginners. I rate Netlify Web Development Cloud an eight out of ten overall.

Hosting personal portfolios has been smooth and saves costs while deployment stays effortless
Pros and Cons
- "Netlify Platform makes hosting free, so I feel my expenses have been saved by using Netlify Platform."
- "The one reason I am not giving Netlify Platform a perfect rating is that I miss the guide to deploy code using Git."
What is our primary use case?
I hosted my personal portfolio on Netlify Platform, which I created using React.js, and I am now creating my portfolio using Vite React. These are two of the three portfolios I have hosted on Netlify Platform, all of which were created using React.
I directly host on Netlify Platform using my GitHub Git repository by uploading my code to the Git repository and granting Netlify Platform access to host it directly from there. By using CI/CD, whenever I make changes locally, I commit them to Git and the changes are reflected on my Netlify Platform page.
I majorly use Netlify Platform to host portfolios only, and sometimes I perform DNS configuration to specify my name on my portfolio and define my portfolio's name specifically. Normally, I simply use GitHub to host it on Netlify Platform.
If I want to host any of my portfolios on other websites, I have to pay, but Netlify Platform makes hosting free, so I feel my expenses have been saved by using Netlify Platform.
What is most valuable?
All of these features are what I feel are the best features of Netlify Platform because it deploys code from Git automatically, which is comfortable since I do not want to redeploy every time. It also allows custom domains and free SSL is an important benefit.
Netlify Platform has automatic deployment. By using that, it is very efficient to deploy recent code, so I feel comfortable with it. Even though my organization does not use Netlify Platform, I personally use Netlify Platform for my portfolios.
What needs improvement?
While using Netlify Platform, I feel that if they provided a guide to deploy code from Git, it would be more helpful. If they added some videos within Netlify Platform itself, that would be beneficial since I have to go to other sites for references.
The one reason I am not giving Netlify Platform a perfect rating is that I miss the guide to deploy code using Git. For this purpose, I have to search on other websites, so that is the reason I provided a nine. If they provided a comprehensive guide to deploy and a guide about their features, it would be perfect.
For how long have I used the solution?
During my studies, I have been using Netlify Platform to host my websites to interact with human resources professionals and other organizations. I have been using Netlify Platform for around one and a half to two years to host my websites.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
As of now, I did not notice any downtime or reliability issues with Netlify Platform.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I did not try to scale my project with Netlify Platform because it is a portfolio, so I did not try to scale it, but I will do it in the future.
How are customer service and support?
As of now, I did not contact any customer support from Netlify Platform, but in reviews, I feel they are more comfortable to get support from customer service.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I did not use any hosting servers previously to host my portfolios. I started with Netlify Platform and I am comfortable with Netlify Platform, so I continued with Netlify Platform.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
As of now, I have used Netlify Platform for free only, and I feel comfortable with it, so I did not explore pricing or setup costs. I feel Netlify Platform free itself is worth using.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Before choosing Netlify Platform, I evaluated AWS, but it is not free of cost, so I chose Netlify Platform to deploy my portfolio.
What other advice do I have?
My advice is that you can use Netlify Platform for free, so before switching to other hosting platforms, you can use Netlify Platform because it is free of cost and it is easy to do many things. I have not mentioned anything new about Netlify Platform, and as of now, I feel comfortable with Netlify Platform. I gave this review a rating of nine.
