I have been using this solution for over 20 years. 

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We have been using this solution since the days of version 3x.

What other advice do I have?

Infor has now stopped and drastically reduced investing in this product. They are focusing on other products such as M3 on the cloud, as the current market favors that. So, I would not recommend new buyers or people who are thinking of upgrades to look at Infor LX (they are referring to ERP LX). I would suggest that they look at the M3 cloud version.
