Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"SAML 2.0.""The integration effort with the end application is quite straightforward and easy.""OAuth 2 is now the de facto standard for API protection and scoped authorized delegation. IBM TAM now supports OAuth 2 and can act as fully compliant OAuth 2 authorization server.""The Verify feature: A push method which customers are going for.""Single Sign-On functionality is valuable because the core purpose of the product is to allow universal (or bespoke) SSO for application suites."

"Auto login across platforms allows for no copying and pasting.""Available for Windows platforms and also Mac OS and Linux systems.""The generator of complex passwords keeps me safe from being hacked.""I like Keeper's mobility and its accessibility.""A useful solution for storing encryption keys, programming and developing a SaaS platform.""I can access my passwords from any Internet connected device.""It keeps my passwords organized and safe.""It saves us from duplicating passwords for different accounts."

More Keeper Pros →

"The initial setup is easy.""The initial setup of Okta Workforce Identity is straightforward. I was able to get an environment ready within half a day.""Workforce Identity offers a comprehensive access management solution with multi-factor authentication, total control, and features like app access management, identity governance, and administration tools such as certification and access request management. These are typically found in identity management solutions, but Okta integrates them seamlessly into its user interface.""Okta integrates well with other solutions. Once you have integrated an application into Okta and onboarded a user, they will be onboarded for just-in-time provisioning.""It is a very stable solution.""This solution has a lot of capabilities and features.""Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.""We find the solution to be stable."

Cons
"The self-service portal needs improvement.""Looking at their roadmap, they have a broad grasp of the security features which the industry needs.""The profiling element is incredibly robust, but also equally as complex, it requires an off-site course to be able to understand the context or the plethora of options available.""An Amazon Machine Image (AMI) for the newer appliance versions for hosting the virtual appliances on AWS will help.""Multi-factor authentication with social integration needs to improve."

More IBM Tivoli Access Manager [EOL] Cons →

"I would love it if you didn't have to re-authenticate when you start up a new browser.""Rearranging folders via drag/drop functionality would be very helpful.""I would like to see a way to store files and photos in the next update. If it already does this, I have yet to explore it.""It would be nice to see this great tool integrate with other tools out there.""Needs to provide an API to be integrated with the information systems and offer secure file hosting service with sharing and editing capabilities.""Its aesthetic needs improvement.""They could possibly add a pre-designed contact feature that would work similar to a cell phone contact feature.""The password rotation feature could be improved."

More Keeper Cons →

"The solution is very expensive.""It would be pricing, which is a tough one because it goes against Microsoft. A lot of companies say they're a Microsoft partner, and they get all their software for free. Okta is like a luxury product, and it's not the most affordable one. I would say if they could work on pricing, it would help. Other than that, they've done great strides in developing a product that is really good. The companies that do see the value tend to invest in it.""The product is expensive compared to other tools.""They should focus on improving them to provide top-notch team access management while still offering those typical features.""The solution’s policies are difficult to understand due to the policy methods. They use authentication. The solution’s workflow is also difficult and not very active. They need to have proper documentation on it. In the next release, I would like to see the workflows being more digestible.""The integration with third-party tools needs to be improved.""There are some issues with the interface that can be improved.""It's not compatible with on-premises installations, unless you host it as a SaaS. We were not able to do that. For example, imagine a scenario where the cloud is not available. Then, Okta will not work for you. That use case will readily fail because it doesn't have an on-premises installation that you can use to authenticate or provide identity and access management. If you have a purely on-premises solution that is not connected to the internet, then this will not work. This is one area that can be improved."
