We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The ability to manipulate events via JavaScript getting the exact data that we want.""Provided up to a 90% noise reduction in some our noisy monitoring tools.""The most valuable feature is the integration with various alert-generating systems because you might have synthetic alerts or monitoring alerts for volume drops."

More Evanios Pros →

"The auto-update option is a valuable feature for us.""The most valuable features are the dashboards.""The biggest plus that I want to commend them for is definitely their one-click update/upgrade feature. I use Prism for that and it's so amazing. That, by itself, is a selling point.""It also does a good job when it comes to optimizing performance with machine learning and AI. It's able to identify the VMs that are constrained and not constrained, and which ones are "bully" or not. It gives you a recommendation based on your usage. It learns your user environment.""It provides a single pane of glass and the graphics and the presentation are quite good. It's quite exciting for me. I would rate it 10 out of 10. The user interface is pretty easy to use for compute and storage.""Nutanix has one of the greatest support organizations that I've ever had to use. They're polite, you get someone on the phone fast, and they always find a solution for you.""The storage management is one of the best.""The most valuable feature is the solution's single-pane-of-glass approach to consolidating all of the various metrics and interfaces that I would typically have to access via multiple screens in other products. The ease of use would probably be the single biggest selling point."

Cons
"We would like the ability to have an "exit" option for events when they are being processed.""The price could be cheaper.""More complex correlation rules would be nice. The ability to clearly define a parent event in a correlation and nested correlations, specifically."

More Evanios Cons →

"I would like to see the capability to use FC SAN storage.""It would be ideal if there was more of a community around the solution so that it would be easier to learn things about the solution from other users.""Each era every year, new economies arise and ways to develop the platform to improve both the interface with the end-user and to make the main load more flexible to the specialized user of the platform.""Perhaps the interface can be more intuitive.""On the technical side, although you don't need a shutdown to upgrade Nutanix, for downgrading you do. If it were possible that when downgrading CPU or memory you didn't have to reboot the VM, that would be very helpful for us.""Nutanix is a great product, but I won't say it is a data center product. If it could leverage or work with non-Nutanix infrastructure, it would be a total data center solution. Right now, with Prism Central, we can only manage Nutanix clusters.""The solution should offer the ability to change network settings without removing the network card from the virtual machine.""One problem I faced when creating a VM and adding a hard disk to is that Nutanix Prism did not allow me to reduce that VM's hard disk."

  • "The license for Prism is costlier than other VMs."
  • "We have spent a lot of money on the Nutanix solution with Prism. Yet, for this amount of money we could be buying high-end storage with a lot of IOPS and bandwidth, even more than with Nutanix."
  • "Nutanix have bundles for pricing. On a single bundle, we get everything including vSAN or VMware and there are no additional costs. It is just a single license that is needed."

    Overview

A key component of the Event Management process is consolidation of events from across the enterprise. By consolidating disparate events into a single solution, they can be de-duplicated and correlated. For example, network failure events can be correlated with system failures, and then prioritized based on service impact.

    Reduce the noise

Evanios Integrations allows filtering and processing close to the event source, keeping the weight off of the ServiceNow system for increased performance. Filters are easily configured. EVA, the Evanios consolidation point also has built in event flood control features, to protect against unexpected event storms which can quickly overload traditional integrations.

Nutanix makes infrastructure invisible, elevating IT to focus on the applications and services that power their business. The Nutanix enterprise cloud platform leverages web-scale engineering and consumer-grade design to natively converge compute, virtualization and storage into a resilient, software-defined solution with rich machine intelligence. The result is predictable performance, cloud-like infrastructure consumption, robust security, and seamless application mobility for a broad range of enterprise applications.
