Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) EVENT - Cloud-Based - Staying Current
What are your upgrade and/or migration plans to stay current? Please provide details.
We need to stay current to ensure compliance. We plan to move from RHEL 7 to RHEL 9 and use RHEL 8 and RHEL 9.
View full review »We're going to RHEL 8 now. We moved to RHEL 7 last year; we're going to RHEL 8 now. Next year, in 2024, we plan to move to RHEL 8. And then that is when the operating system side.
View full review »RHEL has pretty much straightforward upgrades. So, that helps when you want to move a major version of an upgrade. It's a standard way.
View full review »We use Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform mostly for patching and upgrading to the next revisions. We don't upgrade from one OS to another. We build on a new OS and get all the applications running there. Once the application is running, we move all the workload from the old OS to the new OS. There's no impact on the existing system.
