IBM WebSphere Application Server is the ultimate product. There is nothing superior to IBM WebSphere Application Server. There are other options such as Tomcat, JBoss, and Oracle's solution, but IBM WebSphere Application Server stands above them all. I particularly appreciate IBM WebSphere Application Server in AIX because it's very powerful. AIX is an exceptionally powerful engine. There isn't any Unix better than AIX. I have worked with AIX since my time at IBM in Europe, and at Royal Bank we have a vast array of AIX machines with IBM WebSphere Application Server installed on many of them. I have also worked with IBM WebSphere Application Server in Windows, which performs excellently as well.

From an administrative and development perspective, it's transparent whether IBM WebSphere Application Server runs on AIX or Windows.

I integrated IBM WebSphere Application Server with Node.js and Blue Prism. I created numerous REST applications as I'm fundamentally a developer. Though my title is architect now, I remain a passionate developer at heart.

We are not using a lot of the features that these app containers provide. WebSphere, to be honest, is very cumbersome and complex due to its extensive functionality, which makes it difficult to use. 

However, the integration between IBM tools and applications is very well executed, and the support from IBM is quite good, providing a solid support structure.

I would say that the clustering, achieved by using the deployment manager, is valuable. There is a load balancing feature that uses different nodes, handled by the deployment manager. Additionally, this functionality helps with the load balancing of applications.

Network Deployment is the most useful feature for scalability. It has many features within the standard WebSphere Application Server edition.

WebSphere's security meets our application's needs. For security, we can integrate WebSphere with LDAP. Additionally, we can configure SSO certificates or third-party certificates for secure communication between our application and even the database. 

We can use SSL certificates to secure both frontend and backend connections. Combined with LDAP and SSL certificates, the security features are excellent.

Integration capabilities are good. That's a key strength of WebSphere. It integrates easily with various other software vendors, which is why many companies use it.

WebSphere primarily functions in the front area as an application, while most business jobs are conducted on databases. The web application server is mainly for viewing and inquiry purposes. It is very light to handle, providing significant benefits for customer business platforms.

IBM WebSphere Application Server is one of the best servers due to its stability and paid license. I have never encountered any issues when installing and deploying applications, as it never goes down.

Currently, there are two versions of WebSphere Application Server: the old version, known as WebSphere Application ND, and the newer version, Liberty, which is Docker-based. I have experience with both and have never encountered any issues. I believe that WebSphere Application Server is a great feature.

For me, the most valuable feature of the product, I think, is the performance. The product offers good performance. I also think it is a very stable tool because no outside factors would affect it. Normally, the ports and servers were working very well. With its configurations, it could support more software integrations with different technologies. It was easy to configure. So I think it is a very good server for applications.

IBM WebSphere Application Server is easy to use. 

The only reason why we're currently using WebSphere is that the integration of the authentication with Azure is very quick. WebSphere has something that can immediately connect with Azure Active Directory.

The thing about WebSphere, as opposed to other ones that I am aware of such as JBoss and Liberty, is that WebSphere has the most comprehensive scaffolding available to it.

A lot of JVM container products provide you with a raw JVM container and don't offer much else. However, WebSphere has the PRPC, which has extensive console capabilities, including the ability to control multiple JVM containers and the deployment. It's an enterprise-level product.

WAS is not what I would want if I were a small shop with two or three WAS servers or app servers. However, if I had 4,000 servers and wanted to install JVMs on them, WAS is a viable option. In my opinion, its strength is its enterprise capability.

I am highly satisfied with the robust security features integrated into this solution. Its fine-grained access control, authentication, and authorization mechanisms ensure a smooth performance.

What's most valuable in IBM WebSphere Application Server is its resilience. When you use the solution, you know that after the communication has been done, there will be no doubt that the data has reached its destination.

One of the most valuable features might be the stability of the IBM WebSphere Application Server.

I would not compare WebSphere and WebLogic because both servers are really good.

However, once you have set up both of them, they work perfectly.

There are always bugs, such as the recent bug with log4j, but they're both good web servers. I can make use of either one, it makes no difference. It's just a different setting, but I'd say the quality is the same.

I am satisfied with this solution, as well as WebLogic. Both are good.

The performance is good.

The solution is very stable and robust. 

Management is very easy in the Network Deployment edition. The admin console allows one to easily manage many servers. 

As compared to other applications, it has tremendous support. We have built internal capability so that we use it extensively internally. It is also easier to use with the outside data. You can write in ESQL, Java, or any other technology that you want to use for development. So, it is a lot more flexible in the language that it supports.

We've had so many challenges with the solution in the last two years that it's a bit difficult to find highlights.

It does integrate well with the Tivoli Federated Identity Management system.

WebSphere Application Server's best features include the data subscription and connection viewer. 

The most valuable features are its user-friendliness and reliability in terms of application hosting.

The solution has good performance.

This solution is easy to use with a GUI that is intuitive and very helpful.

You have the ability to do a lot of things with the commands.

The solution's data consistency is great. It's very reliable. This is important for a transitional scenario. It is critical for us, so data consistency is the most important feature that we count on.

The user interface is reliable.

The scalability of the product is quite good.

WebSphere connects with old legacy systems, like CICS and TX Series that typically run on the mainframe environment and that must be integrated with open systems.

The most valuable feature is the configuration of the application server. It has a variety of configuration database certificates and connection pools. It has good stability of the application server in the long term compared to other solutions. 

The solution is robust. The connection management and the scalability, which IBM provides to the Stack, are also valuable.

The most valuable feature of this solution is Portal Virtualization.

Stability, high availability, alert management, and deployments are the most valuable features for us.

• Stability: Once you deploy your application, it will be very stable with no issues at all.
• Ease of administration: It has an Integrated Solutions Console, what we call the administrative console, with very detailed configurations and Help pages for each configurable item.
• Up to date: Once a security vulnerability has been discovered, IBM patches it quickly, and later includes it in a bigger fix or update.
• Security: It is compatible with the latest Java 8 security features, supports FIPS 140-2 and NIST SP 800-53 with strong ciphers and cryptography keys, and supports TLS 1.2 completely. Also, configuring client and server certificates is relatively easy.

The Admin Console is most valuable to us since we have to use it to configure the application server for using it as middleware for our IBM FileNet, IBM Content Navigator and IBM Case Manager software stack. Without the Admin Console it would be very hard to configure JVM settings, JDBC datasources, mail session settings, and security providers.

It's scalable and very reliable.

The VPN service is quite useful. Our main application runs on a close integration with Jira platforms. To access it remotely, we need WebSphere and a VPN server.
