We performed a comparison between QPR ProcessDesigner, Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect, and WorkflowGen based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Microsoft, Camunda, Sparx Systems and others in Business Process Design."It makes communication easier due to transparency on processes."
"Processes become clearer, easier to understand, and easier to spot in development areas."
"The advantages of Enterprise are that it's cheaper and much more practical than MagicDraw."
"Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect is very flexible and it is simple to define the metamodel. Additionally, it is lightweight on resources."
"I like Sparx's BPM features and the way it lets you create the diagram."
"A feature I like most about Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect is its ease of use."
"Artifact templates are most valuable."
"I like that there is support for software patterns."
"Ability to maintain cross-references for all models in all levels - great tractability."
"It's a stable and scalable solution. I like that it's similar to Rational Rose."
"We use it a lot for creating workflows to transfer materials between plants, which is a signature part of what we do."
"There is definitely a need to produce models in XML. There is already something available, but it seems that transferring between the different modelling tools is difficult."
"The solution's interface could be more straightforward."
"The modeling tool is targeted toward a sophisticated user."
"There should be a MATLAB-specific toolbox added to the solution with better compatibility. The connections currently are good but in the future, it needs a huge improvement."
"It would be nice to have it supported on the Linux operating system."
"Its best features are not intuitive or easy to learn. Most companies I have worked with, when I see what they are doing with it , are not using more than 5% of what they could and should be doing with it."
"From a practical point of view, we need speed and reliability for creating a model and doing some really meaningful tasks such as application landscape, refactoring, etc. These are two primary criteria. Sometimes, when you import something, it creates the object duplicates, or it allows you to do something that you're not supposed to do. For example, validation is missing. This could be frustrating because when you work at a high speed, you need to come back and start fixing things that the tool allowed you to go with, which is not quite good. So, there should probably be some internal mechanisms to advise you about what you're doing and what is probably not the best idea."
"It really did not work for logical modeling. The look is very old-fashioned. You can't make the diagrams easy on the eye, so we ended up drawing them again in Visio anyhow."
"This solution should have better ease of use for the uninitiated."
"This solution needs to be more customizable."
