Find out what your peers are saying about Atlassian, Microsoft, Nutanix and others in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Suites."The linking of PI Objectives with different features was one of the cool things. It had features, epics, and stories out of the box."
"The most valuable feature is the ease of use and performance."
"It's a pretty problem-free solution."
"Version control practices have been perfect for us. It maintains a detailed history and is integrated with GitHub, which is also a Microsoft product. It is quite a game-changer."
"I like the cloud infrastructure of Microsoft Azure DevOps."
"What I like the most about this product is that it's free and it's secure."
"Some of the valuable features are the functionality and the wide range of capabilities."
"The features of Azure Repos that we find most impactful are those related to source control management within our DevOps code management processes."
"The most valuable features of this solution are the CI/CD pipeline, and the testing automation."
"It should just have the integration with Jira. We haven't looked at it since Atlassian bought the product."
"They should expand it from just a PC, software, or server development platform to other kinds of software or engineering systems so that it is not necessarily built around a normal PC with a server. I would like to see the ability to write my own scripts in my own compiled program or online. Right now, there are things that you can do in the user interface, but you can't do them programmatically and vice versa. I want to see them both. If I can do it in a script, I should be able to do it from the user interface, and if I can do it in the user interface, I should be able to do it in a script."
"They could provide clearer guidance on deployment practices for the product."
"There are certain features, and reporting that can only be used in PowerBI, but not directly in DevOps."
"Non-functional testing such as security testing, log testing, and performance testing can be improved with a better visualization."
"The UI could be improved."
"As for room for improvement, more features need to be added to the classic pipeline. The build and release pipelines are present, but there has not been much improvement there."
"I would like to see better integration and collaboration between tools."
"The portfolio is one area where DevOps has room for improvement. Built-in reporting and visualization also could be better. We're using Power BI and Tableau to compile more complex reports and dashboards. Azure DevOps has some out-of-the-box reporting capabilities, but they're very simple. It's usually okay on the team level, but if you have to run a complex report, it's difficult and insufficient, so we use Power BI as an extension."
