I cannot exactly compare with Cisco or other vendors, but the graphical interface, particularly the new version, is really better than before.

Some things that we do now with the command line or CLI interface, we can now do more in the graphical interface or we can see it. Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch LAN Switches provide stable work with no issues. There is less downtime and fewer maintenance windows.

I won't be able to comment on which features of the solution I found valuable since we support various users. However, we don't configure products for them. Also, we don't inspect their configuration. So, we wouldn't know how the switches are configured. We don't utilize any of the functions. The main functions of the solutions that we use are the diagnostic ones, in terms of viewing how the switches configure and related things. Other than that, we don't really dive into how the switches are configured for the network of our users.

One of the main advantages of the solution is that the configuration is straightforward, offering various configuration options through CLI or web interfaces. Adapting to Alcatel switch configuration is relatively easy for those familiar with Cisco or HP configurations. The CLI, based on a Unix operating system (now Linux), provides easy access to essential information. Alcatel switches can be connected in a stack of up to eight elements.

Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch LAN Switches have elements that are suited for the hospitality industry. For example, they want a phone, switches, routers, and WiFi, all from one vendor. As a result, they can provide all solutions. They don't want to approach different vendors, for support, maintenance, or any other activities. From a single vendor, or they can view the entire IT solution from any office, at any infrastructure setup. If you go with any other third-party, you would have to rely on different vendors and setups for each manufacturer.

With Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch LAN Switches everything comes from one vendor. It operates very smoothly.

These OmniSwitches are very manageable and easy to configure. 

The most valuable feature is the ease of configuration. You have a single interface and do not have to switch modes, whether you are configuring the interface, VPN, or otherwise.

The Alcatel APs are very good, with a beautiful design, and they are easy to scale.

The security features are good.
