Since the availability is high, Pure Storage FlashArray helps reduce downtime, as you can see every disk in the GUI. If a disk goes down, there is an option for it to self-repair. While other vendors offer similar self-repair options, the vision Pure Storage FlashArray offers through the GUI is clearer; we can discern the status, what is cabled, and how direct flash is enabled. This capability provides us a distinct advantage over other vendors.

Pure Storage FlashArray is reliable, which is why we deploy our critical tier zero applications on it. Reliability and availability are paramount, and the performance and hardware stability never falter. All security measures are in place, and the strength of fiber channel cables and port connectivity is commendable, promoting reliability.

The stability of Pure Storage FlashArray is really good; I would give it a ten out of ten for stability.

The Pure team releases versions on a quarterly basis. During these releases, we reach out to the Pure support or accounts team to confirm the version. Issue-wise, we do not experience many issues—only minimal ones. We have not encountered any problems or hardware failures from the Pure side.

Regarding the stability of Pure Storage FlashArray, there have been issues, but generally around capacity utilization. If the capacity utilization is too high, then it can cause problems. A lot of that is because all storage these days is not what you call thick storage. It's called thin storage or thin provisioned storage, which means that you allocate a certain amount of space from the array. If it's 100 gigabytes, the host system sees 100 gigabytes, but there's zero usage on the backend. As the data gets written more and more, then it uses more space on the backend. This means that you can't predict how much space is going to be used. Sometimes that can cause problems if there is a lot of data written in a short period. That needs to be managed carefully.

Pure Storage FlashArray has helped us maintain continuous uptime, and I hardly see any hardware failure in this current organization. The hardware that Pure Storage FlashArray provides means we experience minimal hardware failures compared to HP 3PAR and EMC PowerMax. Hardware failures with Pure Storage FlashArray are minimal, and I haven't seen any drive failure in the past year.

We have continuous 99.9% uptime and do not experience any users reporting performance issues due to latency. Pure Storage FlashArray provides advanced flash drives that are more than enough for our workloads.

Everpure FlashArray is very stable.

I have not experienced any logging or crashing issues. However, I have seen old controllers crash occasionally. It did not happen too frequently, perhaps every two to three months, and the vendor replaced the complete hardware afterward. Since then, there have been no issues.

I would rate stability a 10; there are no downtime, bugs, or glitches.

It has helped reduce our downtime over the years, and with Pure Storage FlashArray, we have zero downtime, approximately 10% reduction.

Everpure FlashArray has drastically reduced our downtime. Once we replaced our previous setup, we have not experienced any failures from the arrays. We have efficient cooling and operation without issues. For maintenance, the normal downtime during a patch or OS upgrade is less than five minutes, often not even needed. We have not required downtime for troubleshooting either, except in a rare case due to a power failure.

Everpure FlashArray is stable, and even if there are issues, the engineers at Pure provide support quickly and effectively.

I have never had any downtimes, crashes, or stability issues with the FlashArrays.

Regarding the stability and reliability level of Everpure FlashArray, I have never experienced an issue before. In my four and a half years of experience, the stability is perfect at one hundred percent. I have never seen the array give problems. If an array is not performing at the expected performance level, Pure South Africa will jump in immediately. I have seen two or three customer arrays being upgraded free of charge because the array did not meet the expectation of the customer when they bought it. Pure's way to handle things is very good.

It has maintained operations without reducing downtime. Each component is redundant. Everything is done so that even if I have to replace a controller, it is replaced without downtime. If a disk fails, or multiple disks fail, they are replaced without any downtime. Maintenance is very easy to do.

Everpure FlashArray is stable.

The reduction in downtime depends upon the issue. A couple of months ago, we had a different version, and during that time, we planned to upgrade and found out the version is no longer used. During that time, we faced some controller issues, and within the day, they replaced the controller, and we performed the upgrade as well. The downtime reduction depends upon the issue only. Otherwise, it is very good storage.

Fortunately, I have not seen any instability, lagging, crashing, or downtime with Pure Storage FlashArray.

For stability, I rate it a ten out of ten. We don't have many problems.

Overall, Pure Storage FlashArray has not helped decrease my storage footprint, as I have other solutions. It did not consolidate the other solutions, since we do not work with one storage vendor. We have multiple vendors and products, starting with 30 arrays and now at 90 arrays, which is a pretty big leap we have made. At the same time, it did not encourage us to decrease our footprints on the other products, as we have multiple products for multiple purposes.

I would not say there are stability issues. Both are enterprise storage systems, so they are both stable.

Everpure FlashArray is very good with AI development. I would say Everpure FlashArray is very suitable for low downtime and critical mission storage. Customers who need critical mission storage and those chasing performance should consider this solution. Our customers have to realize that if they want to iterate fast in AI development, they need to invest in Everpure FlashArray.

Right now, I have not seen any issues with Pure because, as I mentioned, we have the Evergreen feature on Pure, and they automatically raise a case. When it comes to upgrades, they do not take much time and we do not need any downtime to upgrade our Purity version. That is really good. Compared to other vendors, I would prefer Everpure FlashArray to anyone.

The stability of Pure Storage FlashArray is extremely good, as we have never had any issues during many code upgrades, and the controllers have been resilient.

Pure Storage had operational challenges between 2016 to 2018, impacting perceived reliability. I encountered instances where the entire cluster went down due to workload and throughput issues. We were considering alternative solutions like EMC, but I noticed improvements in later projects and encountered no incidents. This indicates a significant improvement in stability over time.

I have not experienced any lagging, crashing, or downtime with Everpure FlashArray; it is stable.

Again, stability has never been an issue and we have enjoyed a 100% uptime experience on Pure. This doesn't mean nothing goes wrong.  Sure, there were instances of a controller failover event, a drive or cache module failure, GBIC burns out, etc. Sometimes Pure Support knows about an issue before I do and is already reaching out to me about it. 

FlashArray is a highly stable and reliable enterprise storage solution that minimizes downtime.

There was one instance about ten years ago when I had some high latency in certain situations, and Pure Storage patched that quickly. So, I'd say the Pure Storage FlashArray is extremely stable.

I only experienced lag once, and that was my error. I accidentally shrunk the bandwidth. After a few P1 calls, we realized it was our error. The reading and writing are pretty fast, and there are lots of logs and reports that help you diagnose the problem. We haven't had much downtime, and there is redundancy. 

The stability of the product is excellent. I have not encountered any significant issues, such as applying firmware that introduces bugs. The overall stability of the product is commendable.

FlashBlade doesn't rank as high in reliability as their flagship FlashArray product does. The FlashBlade product is a notch below. It is a newer product or code, and I have heard of some issues with it.

We have found the solution to be stable. We've not had any performance issues and not have any stability issues with it. The performance is good. there are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. It's reliable.

As for stability, Pure Storage FlashArray is definitely a reliable solution.

The solution is stable. It's superb. We've done upgrades in which multiple controllers were involved and, while changing from one model of the array to another, a single controller was removed. It is swapped out and a new one introduced. Once it's stable they proceed to the next one. We have never experienced an outage in any of the three companies in which I've employed the solution. Even when the controller went down, the arrays remained up.

5.3 is the latest stable version. They have a version 6 now, and 6.1 is in production, however, it's not as stable as the 5.3. We are running to the latest best stable version.

Stability is very high. It's been amazing. They do non-disruptive upgrades that I have never seen anything like in the industry. For us, we can do upgrades in the middle of the day. We wouldn't accept that kind of risk, but we've accepted a lot more risks than we should using Pure and I've never been let down.

You copy more and more stuff into them and they just sit there, working away. Now that a lot of our daily operations are automated, we barely even log into them.

It's a very stable solution. Even going through maintenances we can individually bring down certain nodes without any disruption in performance. It works really seamlessly with our current implementation.

I try to go in there and at least keep an eye on it every once in a while, but it mostly runs on its own. There is no real need to do anything.

I can't think of a time I've had a problem with a Pure Storage array. You might get drive fail once in a while, but it has never been a problem. Usually, that will get reported in the partner dashboard and we will get an alert. Pure Storage will also get an alert. 

Nimble used to be the best if you had a part fail. It would be on your doorstep the next morning. It just showed up, every time. No questions. They have lost some of that with HPE. 

Pure Storage is still pretty good. I haven't heard any customers tell me that they just had a part just show up without even knowing anything was down, like I used to hear about with Nimble. However, usually they will get some type of an alert from Pure Storage, such as, "Looks like you lost a drive. Do you want us to send someone out or a power supply?" Then, get it out.

They make a reliable storage. We use it as a very critical system, and we don't want any corruption on our system.

Since our design is a high availability design, it can work 24/7.

The stability is very good. The stability and performance are the best things about the solution.

The duplication is not happening on time. Pure acts like it is a bug and that they have a new version with a fix for it. It goes into a cycle often: You keep upgrading and that new upgrade may have some other problem.

That's the primary worry regarding stability. Otherwise, the system works.

We put a lot of stress on it, and it is very stable. We have only had one tech support call in the last four years for a hard drive replacement.

We have a capital of storage with EMC, our previous solution. The fact that Pure has a petabyte of storage means that Pure Storage will become a de-facto standard in all the global organizations.

Stability is good, we haven't had any issues. The only thing is that we've had to upgrade controllers a few times because we ended up wanting to use more stuff on here. At first, just our databases, then we moved our VMs to it. We really haven't had any issues except just needing to upgrade to bigger controllers.

We stream into StatsD from Pure Storage, LogicMoniter, and a few others so we don't use the UI performance manager as much because we like a single pane of glass but it's got everything I need. When we do see latency or we have issues it's usually really clear from the graphs.

The only time that we had problems with it was that there was a bug in the VVol implementation but, outside of that, it has been flawless. 

I'm assuming that the VVol implementation got fixed in the last little while. We ran into that last February, so it's been about eight months. I suspect that they probably have it resolved by now. Other than that, it's bulletproof.

With the customers that we have, and the references we have read from them, the stability is great. I have only seen 100 percent. I haven't had any failures, none of my customers has had any problem with the platform. So far, it's great. 

Technology, in general, is very good now, you don't have a lot of problems. But Pure is even better.
