Pros
"We can manage the entire system across the network and troubleshoot the pain points."

"It provides us with complete visibility of every packet.""AppResponse is a total solution that gives you end-to-end visibility into applications at all levels, from Layer 1 to Layer 7. We can trace all those sections: physical, IP, transport, presentation, application, etc. It gives us the full picture.""The most valuable feature of Alluvio AppResponse is the actual response time for measuring performance.""Ability to see end to end user, application, server, and network response time and throughput data.""The most valuable feature is performance monitoring.""We really like the scalability capabilities.""I have found the AppResponse, which is a packet capture solution, very good. It gives you the ability to drill down back in time. You've got all the packets there. You can troubleshoot it later, not immediately. It's very interesting.""When it comes to the ability to scale up the product, this is suitable for small medium and large environments,"

"We find that the reporting is particularly valuable in terms of not only communicating with our peer teams but also with the executives.""The comprehensiveness of this solution's collection of network performance and flow data is one of the basics in the field for what it does. It meets all of our needs. So for all those areas, for the most straightforward collection capabilities, right up to NetFlow and even telemetry, it meets all those demands. Not only just basic or fundamental SNMP collection capability, but the product also supports what we need for the future with telemetry streaming. So it's very comprehensive.""Data Insight reporting tool is the most valuable feature. They came up with it a couple of years ago. The most pleasing factor is the dark theme. You don't have a white background. It has templates that you can create for all kinds of reports that you can hit on the fly. It's much better printing of the reports. If you want to send PDFs to people, the reports are actually decent. Whereas for years, the old architecture of the PDFs was rubbish and even our customers said, "We have to manipulate your PDFs because they all have bad margin breaks. SevOne fixed that a couple of years ago with the new Data Insight. It's fantastic.""It also gives us the closest thing to real-time insight into network performance that we have, with just a 10-second delay. It's very important for us to know the health of the infrastructure very quickly.""The most valuable feature is the NMS because that's the core of the system. Without the NMS, the other tools aren't that usable.""SevOne provides support for all universal connectors. They internally work with other data sources to get features implemented. We have an SD-WAN implementation and use other app data to monitor performance. If you pull that data into one centralized location, that is very useful for management.""The out of the box reports and workflows are pretty good and they meet our requirements well.""One of the most valuable features is the graphs, which you can build instantly. I have used some open-source platforms in the past, but they are not as good. With SevOne, the sampling in the graph can be every few seconds, not just every few minutes, and that's really helpful. It's really fast."

Cons
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."

More Juniper Mist Premium Analytics Cons →

"The initial setup is straightforward, but you have to know a little about the product. It's not for everybody to just plug and play. If you know how the solution is implemented then it is straightforward.""They need to better integrate with products and solutions from different vendors.""If Alluvio AppResponse reduces its cost, it will be more beneficial for customers to monitor their application and network performance.""The AI features should be addressed in respect of the analysis and intelligence that must be supported and delivered in the tool to predigest the large amounts of data.""Alluvio AppResponse should improve its ability to expand across multiple operating systems.""Technical support needs to be more responsive.""Need to bring back the NetFlow module for AppResponse.""Integration between NPM and APM solutions would improve efficiency. There is no agent on the server site related to AppResponse."

More Alluvio AppResponse Cons →

"There are a lot of pain points. My main problem is that we don't have a high availability system. There are 20 peers. We're going to lose the end-of-life appliances that are old. If we lose a peer and it doesn't come back, we lose all that data. The reason we don't have high availability is because it's double the charge.""There are some tweaks and enhancements that I've already requested. One is to be able to make changes per device rather than as a global setting. That has to do with naming. It's minor.""Some similar solutions offer end-to-end visibility.""The reports are easy to configure but they are a bit outdated in terms of appearance and visualization.""The tool needs improvement in non-Cisco SD-WAN.""SevOne should work with the graphs legend functionality.""You need to plan integrations. That has been the biggest bug with SevOne so far. For the things that SevOne pulls directly, those are easy to understand, modify, and put into the database. For things that need to use the Universal Collector or xStats, you need to plan that stuff well in advance.""I'm not really sure if this was the software's fault or a server issue, but a couple of years back the disks were failing on our SevOne physical server every month and the server would go down. The secondary server took over from the primary until the disk issue was resolved. That was annoying."
