Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Its technical support is good.""The GUI interface is well-designed and user-friendly.""The "App to App" feature has been most impactful. It allows secure communication between applications without requiring direct user access, which is crucial for several applications.""I have found most valuable the automatic scheduled password rotation and remote desktop monitoring. Additionally, the documentation is readily available and easy to find and the dashboard is straightforward.""The user interface is quite good. It's very straightforward.""The tool has many models. The tool also has a good cloud version. Also, the customers need not control any components on the solution side. The product's licensing model is also good since customers can choose a price that is most useful for them. The solution also supports password management for the users in your organization.""One valuable feature is that it will support a dedicated database. Delinea provides multiple features, like reporting and remote password changes.""The surveillance is most valuable."

"I like a couple of things about this solution. Being able to share passwords with other people is valuable. You can see if the information is out on the dark web and whether you have weak passwords and the last time they were changed. You could also have the 2FA or MFA codes embedded in the application so that you don't have to use your phone or any other 2FA device, which is something very important.""Can create folders for specific types of information (i.e., work, personal, and school).""Keeper was user-friendly.""It keeps my passwords organized and safe.""A useful solution for storing encryption keys, programming and developing a SaaS platform.""Available for Windows platforms and also Mac OS and Linux systems.""The chat support is quick. I have never encountered any problems. On the contrary, they have been very helpful and kind.""Keeper Bridge."

Cons
"This product is excellent in every way except minor details in handling extremely large environments.""An area for improvement in Delinea Secret Server is its integration with ICAP servers.""We could definitely use some help with API tokenization. If we had a way to store tokens that would be fabulous.""I would like to see improvement with the integration with Azure Active Directory. This would mean that we can have support on multiple platforms such as Windows, Linux, and Mac.""As I am partial to CyberArk, I rate Thycotic Password Reset Server as a nine out of ten, owing to the minor glitches I mentioned.""The initial setup and deployment can be cumbersome. It's not an easy process.""In many PAM tools, when users request a password checkout, they need to provide justification. However, in my experience across four organizations, nobody actually reads the justifications. Users can simply type anything and get the password. This becomes a risk and compliance issue. There needs to be continuous improvement in this area, focusing on problem identification and mitigation strategies.""Delinea Secret Server can improve by extending the monitoring policies and making the performance better."

More Delinea Secret Server Cons →

"Ability to store 'files' from IOS & Android devices. You can store pics from these devices currently. Most file formats can be uploaded from PC's/Macs""Maybe a sort of category organizer to help with organizing passwords for different things, such as banking, medical, shopping, and school.""Room for improvement in my eyes would be being able to share my credit cards and other types of information. The only thing they really share is passwords, and you can only do it with one password at a time. When you're trying to share it out or trying to remove it from being shared, you can't do multiple selections.""I would love it if you didn't have to re-authenticate when you start up a new browser.""The technical support has no experience.""I would add a category for personal documents or photos of ID cards.""Rearranging folders via drag/drop functionality would be very helpful.""I would like to see a way to store files and photos in the next update. If it already does this, I have yet to explore it."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "It isn't terribly expensive."
  • "The price of this solution is good."
  • "The pricing is standard in this business and we have no complaints about it."
  • "Its price is okay. We don't compete on pricing. We seldom use price to win over our competitors. We prefer it this way because if we can sustain the price, we make more margin as well. We don't want the price to go down to the bottom where despite the win, there's no margin at all."
  • "Secret Server is expensive when compared to the cost to some alternatives."
  • "There are different plans and additional licensing costs that can be instituted for add-ons."
  • "There is an annual license fee per user and the price is fair."
  • "They are priced quite well."

  • "The more users, the better the price. Always opt for the live support."
  • "Free works unless the paid is absolutely necessary."
  • "Pricing might be a little less, but with promo codes and family plan - best offer"
  • "It's definitely worth it and affordable. Their sales team can definitely help scale your needs on licensing and provide pricing options."
  • "Just buy the yearly subscription."
  • "Its cost is relative to the value of the information stored in Keeper."
  • "ROI is hard to know, but it has to be several times the expense of the product."
  • "We chose their optional annual subscription; I believe we paid monthly — I thought it was a good deal."
