We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"We've had great feedback from our customers about SevOne support. They're willing to set up a remote session upon request. You have to go through three tiers of support with most vendors, and they ask a lot of screening questions before they will do a remote session. You need to spend a lot of time before an engineer will host a remote session to look at your problematic system.""SevOne has rich API capabilities, giving us the flexibility to control what we collect and customize the collection, creation, and manipulation of now metrics as necessary.""It's given us the ability to create various real-time network performance reports and distribute them to any colleague who can access these reports immediately.""The most valuable feature as of late has been the API integration with ServiceNow.""The modules and the performance management reports that come with data insights are two of the most valuable features. I also find the reports for Wi-Fi, Netflow, LAN, and WAN for monitoring to be very good.""The out of the box reports and workflows are pretty good and they meet our requirements well.""The automation feature is good because if your CMDB is OK and it is already in sync, then the automation part is good to go.""With this tool it is interesting to show the info to the client and explain where the traffic is."

"I would rate the technical support very well as they are knowledgeable and quick to respond."

More Quest InTrust Pros →

"It gives me notifications of notable events.""It has a drag-and-drop interface, so you don't need to know SQL or Java to construct a query on Splunk. The resolution time is about the same, but it took longer to discover the issue with ArcSight. Our previous solution took about an hour or more, but Splunk can do it within a few minutes or an hour at most.""One of the most valuable features is threat hunting. We can do threat hunting and identify if there is any malicious activity happening within our environment, which is a key feature for us.""Splunk is stable, and this is why many customers want it.""The solution is very fast and succinct.""The ability to manage large amounts of generated data and to protect all devices from unauthorized use are the most valuable features.""It has a big user base, so the community is useful.""Out-of-the-box, it seems very powerful."

Cons
"User-friendly, multi-tenancy.""Software upgrades can be tricky is not easy.""One area that requires a little bit of improvement is the topology of visualization and being able to map out connections, end-to-end. It's able to do that, but it's not as impressive as we would like it to be. We would like to understand the different interface types and the connection points better, through the visualization. Heatmaps also need further development.""There is no service mode setup in this monitoring tool if you want to snooze alerts for any specific amount of time, to account for any activity change or major incident.""Would benefit with the addition of AI modules for proactive data insights.""When I started using it, I tried adding one of the BroadWorks application servers into SevOne... it created thousands and thousands of objects from that one application server and we immediately ran out of license... It would help, when new objects are discovered, if there were a way to categorize those objects and to pick the part of the object you need...""The tool needs improvement in non-Cisco SD-WAN.""The customizations are very hard. The person doing it has to be very good at analytics and has to be very good in all languages"

More IBM SevOne Network Performance Management (NPM) Cons →

"It was very complex. There was poor native correlation. ""It needs to have better reporting. "

More Quest InTrust Cons →

"The GUI can be improved. Splunk has always suffered from having a kind of goofy UI, it needs some updating.""We usually have to follow up with technical support on our open cases.""I haven't found a way for me to create my own plugins and integrate them into Splunk, but this isn't necessarily a limitation; it could simply be a lack of knowledge on my part.""AngularJS/ReactJS inclusion could be made easier in GUI.""Make it easy to use and the cost cheaper. This will help all organisations to implement Splunk.""It is a hugely complicated product.""Some of the queries are difficult to run and have room for improvement.""The Enterprise Security app could be improved. We have had trouble with it working from the first day."
