We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"We use the HDX protocol, a high-performing component of the Citrix solutions. We also use provisioning to generate VM and NetScaler ADC solutions to propose access to applications for our customers."

"I found scalability in Loadbalancer.org valuable.""We can more easily set up a test environment, because you can easily configure your forms. It makes it more flexible for us, to convert our test environment to a production environment, without having to change DNSs on the outside. You just configure the forms on the inside. So without changing the actual endpoint for the end user, we can create completely different networks in the background.""Most important for us that it makes sure that the load is distributed and that we always have access to the end servers.""The connection that this solution helps our servers maintain has been most useful.""The performance is good.""It does what it’s supposed to do which is balancing an important intranet site we are using, so if one server dies, the second becomes active straight away.""The features I find valuable in this solution are the ease of managing the logs on the WAFs, the ease to identify break-in attempts into the network, the front-end firewall, and a more specific firewall.""We have about 30,000 connections going through at any one time and it's fine, it doesn't seem to sweat. It doesn't get overloaded."

Cons
"We discussed problems with the network products with the Indian teams. The support center for network products is located in India. There are language barriers and issues with the time difference, so we sometimes face restrictions when dealing with this team."

"I would like it if Loadbalancer had the ability to make rules for specific shared bots.""You can run into an issue when one engineer passes the case over to another engineer after their shift and they don't know what the first engineer worked on up to that point.""It doesn't have the bonding capability feature.""There are many features you can set in the backend of Loadbalancer. They should simplify the configuration. The administrator should be able to configure it more simply. How it is now, you can only configure it if you have a lot of experience.""They're mostly designed to balance a particular type of traffic. I wanted to load balance DNS, and they just don't do it the way that we wanted to. So they're not used as DNS load balancers.""I would like a notification when a new version of the software is available. They told me to sign up for their newsletter, but I have not received any notification for a newer software version.""The automatic refresh of the System Overview webpage: It sometimes has an extra webpage reload (after a change) before you see it is executed. This can be confusing.""It would be great if there was a way to gain access to the graphing data, to create custom reports. If we had a way to use the graphing data, we could use it to present certain information to our client, such as the uptime status for their service."

    Reviews from Real Users

“Loadbalancer.org is less complex than Citrix. In some cases, our customers do not have an engineer on staff who can support this device. These customers have a large number of Linux engineers but don't have the money. We suggested using Loadbalancer.org and other open-source tools. Many customers are of different sizes and have different budgets. Loadbalancer.org has everything that is needed.” - Artem M., System Engineer at CROC

“We use Loadbalancer for balancing loads in our main application. Loadbalancer is easy to use. It performs well, with low latency.” - Walid M., Network and Security Engineer at a logistics company
