My main use case for Akamai Guardicore Segmentation is for micro-segmentation and east-west traffic control across data center and cloud workloads, which helps ensure zero trust policies, isolate critical applications, and prevent lateral movement, improving security posture in multi-customer environments.

For example, using Akamai Guardicore Segmentation, we segmented a three-tier application by allowing only required ports between tiers and blocking all other east-west traffic, which prevented lateral movement from compromised web servers to databases, significantly reducing attack surface and improving security compliance.

My main use case for Akamai Guardicore Segmentation is segmenting legacy operating systems.

I use Akamai Guardicore Segmentation to segment legacy operating systems because they do not support our EDR tools due to their age, and I chose Akamai Guardicore because its agents support very old systems that need to be segmented from the rest of the network.

We are mainly using it for legacy systems.

I use Akamai Guardicore Segmentation to block lateral movement of malicious software like ransomware. This is very important to protect my business and my corporation.

I create labels for any assets to create rule sets in Guardicore Center with the configuration.

The logs and network logs provide visibility that is very important for my business and my corporate entity. We use microsegmentation by environment. I do segmentation for production, homologation, and development. It is very important.

Today, I have segmentation for Kubernetes in Guardicore, but I have problems with Guardicore with segmentation for Kubernetes because it is connected to SaaS. This is very important because we have projects starting in Kubernetes in my enterprise.

Akamai Guardicore Segmentation is deployed in my organization on a hybrid cloud because 99% is on a private cloud computer.

Our main use case for Akamai Guardicore Segmentation is the implementation in Kubernetes AWS.

We want segmentation for a data center, and we have the problem that we cannot change IP addresses within the data center. So we need a solution. With the Guardicore solution, we can keep the IP addresses. 

Additionally, we get agent-based segmentation, and we don’t have to change anything on the network. These are the main reasons why we chose Guardicore for micro-segmentation.

We use the product in the production environment of server infrastructure. 

It's micro-segmentation.

In India, one use case is in the banking industry. In general, one customer used it for microsegmentation deployed across four locations. 

Another used it for telemetry and microsegmentation. These were deployments for customers in India and the Philippines.

The workloads have been seamlessly integrated for segmentation. The network has been transited smoothly. So, the integration was straightforward and without major issues.

Our clients look for server-to-server segmentation that includes both inbound and outbound ringfencing. 

In our company, we have a data center that has approximately 200 servers running Nutanix. We wanted to protect these servers from both internal and external attacks. By implementing Guardicore Centra, it has given us defense against attacks from the outside, as well as those that originate from inside of the organization.

We protect Microsoft machines, as well as some that are running Linux. We also have an SAP HANA database that is protected by Guardicore.

We are trying to centralize our firewalling as well as provide application segmentation and environment segmentation.

We have a couple of aggregators onsite and the rest are on the cloud.

The primary use case was for segmentation.

The range of platforms and operating systems that the solution covers seems good. Currently, we use it for all our Linux operating systems and some of our Windows environment.

We just deployed agents to Guardicore in our data center.

We are using the latest version of the solution.

We are using it to segregate all of our different environments: staging, production, QA, as well as our applications. We are essentially replacing our traditional, internal firewalls and depending completely on Guardicore to secure all of our applications.

We use the solution for micro segmentation.

Guardicore Centra is used to ring-fence a crucial, business-critical application. 

We completed the AD integration while also attempting to isolate the jump station with an agent.

We primarily use the solution for a micro-segmentation to match the GDPR compliance.

I am using it for segmentation. If someone has access to a development system, they can't take that development system and access production equipment.

We are using Guardicore Centra mostly for security. I work in the cyber security department at MONEX, and we use this solution mostly for visibility. The product offers good visibility of what is going on in the network and the connections that the servers are making, regardless of the platform that they are on. They could be on-premise, on the cloud, or virtual.

I'm recently working on micro-segmentation of our principal payment applications, like SWIFT.

We are a partner, not a customer. We would like to be in a position of trying to provide consultation for this solution and delivery of the product to clients. So, we have partnered with Guardicore in India and we are trying to sell this product and that is our primary use case. The primary use case that we are implementing this product for with clients is micro-segmentation.  

This solution will be implemented in several environments for our collaborators.

We use GuardiCore for East-West data traffic in the data center, micro-segmentation, and security policies. We also use GuardiCore for ransomware protection and analyzing the East-West traffic in a data center.
