Dundas Data Visualization was founded in 1992 in Toronto, Canada. After an early success with Dundas Chart in 2002, the company developed Dundas Gauge, Map, OLAP Chart, and Calendar controls, which were purchased by Microsoft in 2007 to become part of their Reporting Services, SharePoint, and.NET offerings.
Informatica Corporation is a software development company founded in 1993. It is headquartered in Redwood City, California. In 2006, Informatica launched its Informatica Cloud business. In 2010, the Informatica Marketplace was launched offering a data integration eco-system for Partners, Customers, Developers and Informatica to share and leverage data integration solutions. On April 7, 2015, Permira and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board announced that a company controlled by the Permira funds and CPPIB has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Informatica for approximately US$5.3 billion.
