View full review »Usually, we are using Oracle Database Appliance mainly for running the Oracle Database. One of our use cases I had before was deploying a Kubernetes cluster on Oracle Database Appliance with features of virtualization.
We can deploy our microservices-based application on the Kubernetes cluster, which is running on Oracle Database Online. It's not just a monolithic application or VMs. We can make a cluster of VMs to host microservices applications.
View full review »We use it for a medium-sized company and for databases. The database is installed on it because it's best for the database. Efficiency and performance are good for the database as compared to other servers.
I work on different general sites, website applications, servers, Linux, etc.
Oracle Database and Oracle Database Appliance are two different entities.
On top of Oracle Database Appliance, Oracle Database is usually installed for better performance and security.

The IFS application is an ERP solution that uses the Oracle Database Appliance. When our company sells IFS to customers, they often require Oracle Database Appliance support. We provide that for our custom market customers. We manage data stored in databases, overseeing dashboards, and occasionally monetizing the data.
Our support involves patching, upgrading, downgrading, and managing migration processes for our customers. Our customers lack knowledge about technologies, managing databases, and initiating processes. They rely on us to provide the necessary support.
I have been working as an Oracle consultant for more than fifteen years and have dealt with several customers with several use cases who seek a simple database for usage. Some of the customers whom I have dealt with are into data warehousing, while others were some big banks and so on. In general, I have dealt with a very different set of customers.
It's a typical client-server architecture where we host databases on a Linux server, and we have an Oracle client that allows connection to the server. We allow connection to dev, test, and UAT environments with different databases, where the production server is on a Linux server.

View full review »We support their warehouse and we are looking into the network data warehouse product, which is tightly integrated. This is pretty much the go-to product for that process due to the fact that it's all in one box, and is pre-packaged. It's all Oracle servers, and Oracle hardware, and Oracle software and it's all in one.
