We performed a comparison between Informatica Cloud Data Integration, Oracle Data Integrator Cloud Service, and Oracle GoldenGate Cloud Service based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Amazon Web Services (AWS), MuleSoft, Matillion and others in Cloud Data Integration."Their new licensing is very flexible. With Informatica Cloud, you have plenty of items under the same umbrella, such as services, offerings, data quality, and data masking. You have also got master data management and API management. What I really like about them is that you don't need to go to Informatica and say that you need a data integration module. You would say that you need iPaaS or Informatica Cloud. They'll then try to understand your needs and give you IPUs, which are the processing units. If I purchased a hundred IPUs from Informatica as a customer, I can use 70 IPUs for data integration. I would also need data quality, so I can use 10 IPUs for data quality. I can use the remaining 20 IPUs for API management. Down the line, if I see that my initial data integration needs for the development phase are met, then out of the 70 IPUs assigned for data integration, I can use 30 IPUs for data masking. I can shuffle these numbers in any way within the Informatica Cloud umbrella for the tenure for which I have subscribed to these IPUs. I can use all services the way I want. This flexibility is what I really love about Informatica. It also has got good connectors."
"The solution's initial setup is quite straightforward."
"The most valuable feature of Informatica Cloud Data Integration is Pushback. You are able to push the data to the solution itself, and it can handle the queries. It helps us a lot. With other tools, the burden is kept on the server."
"We have a lot of integrations, and it's very easy to create integrations. They have a lot of connectors."
"The most valuable features of the solution are pushdown, optimization, and partitioning, which can be used for frequent data loading, especially when we have a huge data volume in our company."
"The Mapping Designer allows for declarative ETL development (visual scripting) that leverages a wide array of different transformations."
"Data synchronization tasks."
"The solution provides increased efficiency while still being user-friendly and easy to operate."
"The most valuable thing to me is its simplicity. A person with zero knowledge can also develop the integration without having extensive technology knowledgebase. They can also work on creating their own integration."
"Oracle integration cloud has got the adapters for all their products, which makes integration faster."
"It's on the cloud, so it's scalable and quite easy to work with."
"Oracle Data Integrator helps us build tables and data marts and allows us to schedule them daily, for nearly real-time data warehousing."
"The solution is easy to manage and offers good integration. You can run all the tasks one by one which is really helpful, and pick the day and time to do so."
"Having a single vendor supporting the entire suite of applications."
"The data is stored in the cloud, making it easy to download data simultaneously into multiple smaller servers, effectively downsizing the process."
"Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"GoldenGate can aggregate various data types from different sources."
"GoldenGate's best features are the desktop security features."
"This has significantly eased the process of migration from on-premise to cloud. Instead of configuring everything from the ground up, the Oracle GoldenGate Cloud Service has made it seamless to build and render databases in cloud."
"The price modeling could be more flexible."
"Its features for partitioning and optimization could be better."
"The biggest challenge I see is the IDE's for the cloud and automization are different."
"The regions in which the data resides are still limited. This could be an issue in terms of the data residency laws of some of the countries. They should get more regions."
"I would like to see support for more data sources."
"Performance also needs to be significantly improved, especially when connecting to SFDC for read and write operations."
"Cost-wise, it could be better."
"The cloud version of the Informatica, it's a very substandard product. They might say it's enterprise-ready but it's not at all ready. They need to add more features, such as improved data replication features. If you look at other tools, such as Matillion they are now cloud-native and flexible. Additionally, Informatica Cloud Data Integration should have a good migration strategy from Informatica PowerCenter to Informatica Cloud Data Integration."
"The pricing could be more competitive."
"It's lacking a lot of mapping features that Oracle OSB and SOA have. It needs to evolve a lot."
"I've found technical support not very effective. They should work to improve their services."
"I would like to see different cloud adapters or connectors in case of integration. When you have Oracle to Oracle, they are good. They have really good connectors, but if it is a different ERP, like Obsidian, that is where they are faced with problems in OIC."
"It can be made much easier for users. They should be allowed to easily monitor the data extraction and flow, allowing them to observe real-time data flow within the software, making the process straightforward."
"Bulk uploading can be a problem when you hit the upper limit."
"This is an expensive solution compared to other products on the market."
"The initial setup was a little complex, and we required support from Oracle to complete it."
"More technical documentation is needed, especially in terms of mapping and conversion of data, while integration would also be very helpful."
"Oracle is always adding new features. I can't think of anything that's urgent currently."
"Oracle GoldenGate Cloud Service lacks AI. If AI gets introduced in Oracle GoldenGate Cloud Service, it would be much easier to do analysis."
