We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The initial setup is straightforward.""The solution is scalable for our purposes.""The recommendation section is pretty helpful.""It's one of the leading players for cloud optimization. It's hard to find anything better.""The solution is mostly stable.""The best feature I like about CloudCheckr CMx High Security is its simplicity. I love that it's not rocket science to use the solution. Even if you're not familiar with the cloud, you can easily figure out how to use CloudCheckr CMx High Security. You can use AWS, you can use Azure, and you can use GCP with the solution because the integration is quite simple. You can also use multi-cloud with it, and you could see the billing part. You'll have complete visibility into your cost which I love about the solution. I also love that data on any security issues and vulnerabilities are available on the go with CloudCheckr CMx High Security. You don't need to do anything different. Just run the scan and you'll have all these open findings in the tool, in terms of the priority level, so if it's critical, it will tell you, "It's critical," and you need to fix it right away.""It will automatically suggest areas for optimization.""The most valuable feature of CloudCheckr CMx High Security is granular reporting. Additionally, the user interface is easy to use."

"What I found most valuable in vCloud Director is the multi-tenancy.""vCloud Director requires less knowledge to get into in the first place. Therefore, when we bring in new members of staff, we can always give them the customer experience straightaway, and they can pick it up quite easily.""The most valuable feature of vCloud Director is virtualization.""Good features of extensibility, which allows integration of other services.""We use the solution to connect clouds to different clouds.""The most valuable features of the vCloud Director are global management, added services, and automation.""vCloud Director is a stable solution.""We were using VMware, also combined with AirWatch and Boxer. We configured corporate emails on mobiles and used them for MDM applications on tablets, like the launcher."

More vCloud Director Pros →

"The value from vROps, from a traditional sense that we had, is the visibility into the back-end, to know when we are having issues with VMs before it actually becomes an end user issue.""The monitoring and verification functionalities were the most useful features.""From an admin and operations perspective, the solution is intuitive and user-friendly.""The solution is intuitive and user-friendly. The UI is nice, it's really simple to use. Building out reports is very simple.""I think vROps is scalable and suitable for our environment.""Troubleshooting is one of the most valuable features for us. It identifies problems that other monitoring solutions are giving us, offers us insight into the problem and then digs into it and finds out what the actual problems are and addresses them.""Valuable features include trending of performance and capacity. Also, being able to dive into some more detailed analysis of performance metrics and compare them to a baseline of what's normal for particular time frames.""If the network goes down between our office and one of our data centers then it is able to detect that. It will provide you ways to get a deeper understanding of the issues, and it will suggest resolutions."

Cons
"The reporting and analytic capabilities are very limited.""The performance of the tool really needs to be improved.""Many features still need to be implemented in this tool.""What needs to be improved in CloudCheckr CMx High Security is integration. All the clouds are going quite fast, for example, all the cloud providers: Microsoft, Google, etc. CloudCheckr CMx High Security is good with AWS, no doubt about it, but with Azure and Google Cloud, I find that the solution is slow in that direction. If the vendor planned for CloudCheckr CMx High Security to be automated just for AWS, then it does make sense. If not, if the vendor is also targeting good integration with Google and Microsoft, then CloudCheckr CMx High Security integration needs improvement, in particular, it has to be faster. At the moment, its integration with Azure is not as good as its integration with AWS. With GCP, integration is nowhere.""Self-healing could be a bit smoother and a bit cleaner, easier to access and more functional. That would help.""CloudCheckr CMx High Security is complex. There are a lot of menus, and if you do not know what you are looking for you can get lost. However, the interface is self-explanatory. It's easy to understand where to go to get what you want.""The solution must improve its user interface.""The solution needs to work better with larger capacities of data."

More CloudCheckr Cons →

"There are new updates every quarter, so we need to purchase new support deployment services and some new products.""The integration between components could be improved.""vCloud Director should include better billing options for businesses like mine or more options for customers to see their usage and billing situation regarding the usage of vCloud Director.""Database services need to go beyond what they are currently doing.""The initial setup is not straightforward; it can be complicated. The deployment can take one to two weeks.""If you have a deployed environment and lose it, you can't easily deploy it back with vCloud Director. Because of this reason, we don't have the data protection, disaster recovery, and container features.""I had issues with the support, but I also learned from the support. There is room for improvement in the response time.""We use vCloud Director along with Terraform, and it's difficult to make them work together. It takes a long time to deploy virtual machines with Terraform in vCloud Director. For example, it can take about one or two hours to create 10 machines. It takes up a lot of our DevOps' and engineers' time in comparison to that with other solutions. This is an area that they should work on and improve."

More vCloud Director Cons →

"We use a large installation of this solution with multiple nodes and so the setup was pretty complex.""VMware could improve the way VROps forwards critical alerts to Microsoft Teams.""A reporting engine would be good, where the database could dump into something like Splunk integration, so we could write our own reports.""Lacks sufficient training for a relatively complex solution.""It's a very complex product. It has gotten better over the years, but they still have some work to do. It still requires a lot of time, and some training, to get accustomed to it.""One of the things that we've been limited on is that it only monitors one cluster at a time. We're spread out all across the US. It would be nice to monitor multiple clusters from one instance. That would be the main thing we'd like to see.""We have an Enterprise Plus license, so there's a long list of stuff that you get with the Enterprise Plus license, and I'd like to see a better integration of all the vRealize components.""User-friendly? It could probably use a little work there. It is something of a beast. There's a lot that it can do and getting in there and getting everything working the way you want it to can be challenging."
