Find out in this report how the two Server Virtualization Software solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."This is a dependable solution for virtualization with a good community for product support."
"The solution is extremely user friendly."
"The solution integrates well with other solutions, which makes it really strong as a primary solution to deploy."
"Citrix is easy to use and is stable."
"The compatibility of the solution is its most valuable feature. It's compatible on almost every cloud these days."
"The feature I find most valuable, is its performance"
"The most valuable feature of the solution is that it is very fast. It also works very well for physically small servers."
"What I find most valuable in Citrix Hypervisor is its licensing policy, because you'll get it for free if you buy a Citrix XenDesktop license. You don't need to spend additional money on the Citrix Hypervisor because you can manage both the Citrix XenDesktop and the Citrix Hypervisor with just one license, so you can save on cost. I also like that the solution is good support-wise. Hardware support is also faster compared to other solutions."
"This product stands out for its user-friendly interface, intuitive design, and responsive UI. It offers AVH features comparable to Nutanix but at a more cost-effective price point."
"Integration is the most valuable feature of the product."
"It is a stable solution. I haven't faced stability issues in the solution."
"The solution is stable."
"Nutanix AHV Virtualization is a private cloud platform offering integration with various public cloud providers. This integration allows for a multi-cloud approach. In my opinion, Nutanix AHV Virtualization's strength is its storage. It innovates and excels in the hyper-converged storage segment, making it the number one choice in this area."
"Nutanix's customer support is good, one of its biggest selling points."
"The setup is efficient."
"The interface is very good, and quite user-friendly."
"The main problem with Citrix Hypervisor is getting readily available backup solutions for it. It would be wonderful if Hypervisor were better integrated with third-party backup solutions."
"The self-service user portal needs to be more granular and be more customizable."
"Assigning the order of virtual server startup is not very easy and this can be improved."
"I think the technical support could be better."
"Citrix Hypervisor is expensive if you get it as a stand-alone product, so this is one area for improvement. Its price could be cheaper. We also found other areas for improvement in Citrix Hypervisor, for example, we can't use SCIM provisioning, and there are limitations to the size of the HDD. Another area for improvement is the pass-through storage, in particular the removable storage, because that also has limitations where you can't connect to the drive if it is more than one TB."
"We'd like them to add more automation to the product."
"The USB support for the virtual server needs improvement."
"Live migration is something that can be improved."
"If we have to opt for a high level of capacity planning and need more analytics—like deciding on new purchases or budgeting, or if we need additional resources in the near future—we need to pay for Prism Central. I would suggest that Nutanix improve a bit on the analytics part of Prism Element so we can calculate those kinds of things within that flavor."
"The initial installation is complex. It took approximately four days."
"I would like to see more automation of Day One operations, such as DRS, and HA."
"I haven't come across any limitations. Nutanix doesn't support externally attached storage through Fibre Channel. However, Nutanix doesn't support Fibre Channel connectivity. This, in my opinion, is a weakness of Nutanix. For instance, it does not support Cyber Talent. To clarify, you cannot connect external Fibre Channel storage or NAS storage resources with Nutanix. However, VMware vSAN supports such solutions."
"In terms of improvement, I think that they could have more partnerships with providers."
"It worked well in the beginning but after using it for some time, we found some limitations in terms of compatibility with other software."
"There are some issues with the interface and integration."
"I would like to see better decompression or degrouping of the VMs so that we can use a single number of SQLs with two servers. We don't need a huge number of DXSPs."
