Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"SDM: User-friendly tool which allows for a seamless approach to performing hotfixes, if required.""The solution offers excellent stability.""The solution is highly scalable, this is very important for us. It can handle a lot of messages.""ESB: Provides all kind of possibilities to resolve business needs. A lot of ready to use services plus custom Java services. I used a lot of them all.""The Messenger Broker is a really good feature.""The features that I have found most valuable are that it is very easy to develop. Most of it is graphical, but we also have the option to add any custom call that you need."

"There are adapters which make it easier to build integrations between different technologies.""I like the amount of technology that is involved in the Oracle SOA Suite.""It automated the way we did system integrations. Now, information is available on different systems to the correct people."

More Oracle SOA Cloud Service Pros →

"What's most valuable in SAP NetWeaver is the integration. That's been very helpful because the company has one thousand five hundred interfaces running, so integration has been the most significant factor. I've also seen many improvements in the SAP NetWeaver user experience, where users can have reports delivered to mobile devices.""It provides an efficient integration framework with other SAP products.""SAP NetWeaver is doing its job, and it performs well. In the last year, I have not had any problems with it.""The most valuable feature of SAP NetWeaver is the integration and it is a complete solution.""It is the central point for all our data storage. We have one single version of the truth that we can communicate to all our customers.""We can use different transaction codes to check the performance of the system, and if we are unable to access a particular transaction, we can still check the table to see what is happening.""The human capital management module is valuable.""Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."

Cons
"Aurea CX Messenger could improve by making better use of the new APIs""I don't know if the last version has the cloud option, but maybe that could be good. That could be something that is included.""The improvement is that it should be on the cloud and use web services.""You should not hurry with upgrades without testing the whole product completely.""It should include/add more services with the product as per market demand. It should include custom Java services developed by any organization or provide a platform where users/developers can share ideas/custom services, etc.""The solution needs to improve support for new, more recent protocols on the API."

More Aurea CX Messenger Cons →

"The Oracle SOA Suite could be simplified.""As PaaS solution in the cloud, it should be easy to maintain this solution.""The system is very unstable, and any modifications to the server or in the application can make the whole system stop.""The initial setup is complex. Many solutions out-of-the-box did not work as expected. The documentation provided Is particularly poor."

More Oracle SOA Cloud Service Cons →

"SAP is likely transitioning to S4, so it is unlikely that they will continue to use NetWeaver.""The initial setup was not very easy.""The initial setup is a little complex. The users are not able to install the prerequisite drivers or are not able to follow the SOP because they don't have access to SAP Logon. If users already have access, it will take seven to 10 days to deploy the solution. If they do not, it may take a maximum of 25 to 30 days.""SAP isn't particularly user-friendly and you have to develop a long list of favorites to be able to get around.""Technical support response time was slow.""SAP NetWeaver should be better integrated with other products outside of SAP.""It can always improve. It should have the ability to connect with other databases. It was a little bit tough to do that. I would like to have the ability to research certain markets and then integrate it with NetWeaver. I'd like to compare it with other databases from other companies being used in the world so we can integrate it with our own products to compare if we are still current on the market.""Though SAP NetWeaver has been pretty stable and mature, some issues arose after some customizations, so that's an area for improvement."
