We rely on VMware's Software Defined Data Center as the core of our regional server setup, managing computing, storage, and networking centrally.

We use VMware Software Defined Data Center to compute virtual private cloud storage environments.

We connect the solution to Windows Server or a Linux server for backup.

Our primary use case is we deploy on a traditional physical server. We completely move our workload to the virtual machine and then we have physical servers. We move some of our physical workloads to virtual machines. And with the help of vSphere and NSX-T, we create VMware Software-Defined Data Centers.

We are using the solution to manage the OEMs and credit profiles and utilize different features from ESX, such as VMotion and vSphere.

We are using it to install several versions of virtual machines so that we can fit the needs of any user internally.

Our clients are using this solution for different types of workloads, VDI, DevOps, containers, etc. They are using its latest version.

We primarily used the solution at first for business applications, then it as the port operator. We use it for the management of shipping containers, so we have a primary data center and secondary data center. 

Server virtualization is the primary use case.

There were a few reasons we went with VMware virtualization:

• There were exponential demands from the business for servers, databases, applications, and quick availability. 
• Lack of data center facilities. 
• Time to setup, configure, and install the servers. 
  

My company is an integrator and we provide solutions such as VMware Software Defined Data Center for our customers.

Our customers use this solution to implement their own data centers using virtualization. It can be deployed on-premises or in the cloud. They deploy their network virtualization, cloud management, and then the provisioning is done automatically.

One of our clients in the Health Care field is in the process of modernizing their data center using this solution. It will be replacing a lot of different products from different vendors that all have different levels of support. Currently, a large team is required to maintain the data center because it contains legacy technology, and the management of everything is very tough.

This solution helps customers to utilize existing hardware and perform this type of migration in steps, replacing hardware devices one by one. It helps us to scale up and scale-out. We can decommission an old server and add a new one, but we don't have to decommission everything all at once. With some customization, we can utilize the existing resources.

There are different deployment models, including both public cloud and private cloud.

We use this solution to help centralize our office.

We have two Data Centers. One of them is for our DR and the other is for production. This is an on-premises deployment.

We use this solution for public-private partnership healthcare projects (hospitals).

I use this in an enterprise and as a service provider for the banking industry in Paraguay.
