I have used Udemy for some certification courses. It's a good platform.
There are a lot of trainings, so finding the right one is up to the individual. I personally look at the clarity of content, reviews and ratings, and the price.
As a platform, once you purchase a course, it's available anytime. There's also an app, but I don't use it. You can attend training anywhere and anytime and track your progress.
I use Udemy Business mainly for the Excel, office, and IT training resources they offer. I usually attend these courses on Udemy or sometimes other platforms as well.
The platform seems stable and there are a lot of courses. This is one of my checklist items for this month, to complete one training.
We can have something like an organization account. Even for small groups, if we can have some account where we can create a group. Right now I either purchase a course license or attend free courses and then send the link to my team members to join from their accounts. Instead of that, maybe we can have a corporate or group account where we can add people and assign courses to them.
We are not a big corporation with a big training budget, so for small companies like us, having a group account where we can assign courses and track progress would be very helpful.
I would like to see Udemy Business to give better prices that match my learning objectives.
One thing I've noticed is that if you stop a course halfway through and go back to it later, you have to manually restart. It would be helpful to have a restart option because otherwise, it always shows the previous progress percentage, even if you're starting from the beginning again.
For example, if I completed 80% of a course, took a break for six months, and then went back to it, it would still show as 80% complete, even though I'm starting from scratch. So, a restart option would be helpful.
I have been using it for at least five years. I have taken several courses, but I haven't completed all of them. That is one problem I face.
I would rate the stability an eight out of ten.
We have a small team. My team is based in India, and I have only three members in the UAE. Right now, I don't have any team collaboration features in Udemy.
I have used other solutions. Compared to Udemy, it had a lot of pop-ups and ads. I found Udemy better in terms of the platform. I also tried another one, but that was a long time ago.
The initial setup is very easy. Udemy is like any other software.
The courses I took were worth it, but I can't exactly rate the value because I'm still halfway through the process.
I didn't take any licenses. I purchased courses.
Overall, I would rate the product an eight out of ten. It is a good platform if you want to learn new things or upgrade your skills, especially for those who are working. It is a good platform to get these kinds of courses. It is available.
But again, it depends on each person, what they are searching for, and what they are looking for. In that way, it is good. I never faced any issues with the platform.
