Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Obtaining visibility into the network and connected devices is very simple with this tool. It takes me three minutes to do a base deployment when all the parameters are available.""This solution can be used to organize guest portals, integrate switches, and create policies. Some of its standard use cases also include completing key process upgrades and anti-virus of Windows OS.""Within three or four days, we have complete visibility of your infrastructure on the network. Compared to other solutions, the deployment of the solution is easier and we can close the project quickly.""Vulnerability remediation is valuable. We can narrow down a system and its properties. We can go granular on the properties of each endpoint, such as which operating system you're using.""Provides a good overview of all devices on a network.""The threat prevention feature provides complete visibility.""Forescout Platform is stable, it is great.""The most valuable feature is the ease of deployment, which does not require the use of an agent."

"Every single feature has been invaluable.""The sandbox functionality is fantastic.""While it can be frustrating at times, we appreciate the low-level security provided by the application whitelist.""The biggest improvement has been knowing that something unauthorized isn't going to get installed on anyone’s machines.""We use ThreatLocker's Allowlisting to whitelist specific applications and prevent unauthorized software from running.""The interface is clean and well-organized, making it simple to navigate and find what we need.""The most valuable feature is probably the ability to block programs from running. ThreatLocker has some built-in features that make it super easy. You can also contact their support within the program. If you're having issues, you can click on that button and connect with someone in five to 10 seconds.""Application control, ring-fencing, and storage control are the most important features, followed closely by elevation."

Cons
"Forescout Platform sometimes returns false positives, so there's some fine-tuning to be done there.""Forescout Platform could improve the integration or compatibility with other solutions, such as Chinese-made solutions. They do not have any integration with S33 which is a switch. They do not have good integration with new solutions in the market. They do integrate well with Rocket, Cisco, Juniper, and quite a few more but they could expand the integration.""The product needs to improve its support. I know a case that dragged on for about one and a half years. They eventually suggested professional services and closed the ticket. We followed their advice, engaging the account manager and professional service team, only to discover that the issue was a bug. After reopening the case, it's been about six months, and the problem still hasn't been resolved.""Search - needs boolean functionality (or pseudo operand now working).""Regarding pricing, there is room for improvement to enhance competitiveness with other vendors and solutions.""The system controls could be better.""They should improve features related to IT security. ForeScout should analyze behavior to see if the behavior is malicious behavior and block this device. They should develop the ability to analyze the behavior of the device in my environment.""I believe that the overall user experience has not always been preferable."

More Forescout Platform Cons →

"If you have a thousand computers with ThreatLocker agents on them, when you approve or create a new policy saying that Adobe Reader that matches this hashtag and meets certain criteria is allowed to be installed, it applies at the top level or the organization level. It applies to every computer in the company. When you make that new policy and push it out and it goes out and updates all of the clients. Unfortunately, at this time, it does not look like they stagger the push-out.""From a reporting perspective, enhancing the ability to customize reports would be beneficial.""The reporting could be improved.""ThreatLocker Allowlisting needs to improve its user interface and overall workflow.""There are some times when applications get submitted, the hashes don't really line up.""The snapshots used in the ThreatLocker University portal are outdated snippets and have not been updated in conjunction with the portal itself.""We identified several areas that we would like to see improved.""One area I see for improvement is in the visibility of support tickets within the ThreatLocker ticketing system."
