Find out what your peers are saying about Cisco, Fortinet, Broadcom and others in Network Management Applications."What I found valuable in Cisco DNA Center is the Software-Defined Access Network, so the entire LAN network can be centralized and managed from a single dashboard. Cisco DNA Center is suitable for centralized management and lets you deploy switches in a centralized fashion. You can also do multiple switch port configurations simultaneously and segregate your traffic into multiple fabrics. Another valuable feature of Cisco DNA Center is enhanced security through Scalable Group Tags. Cisco DNA Center can be integrated with your Cisco ISE to enhance the port securities, and this paves the way for Software-Defined Networking in the LAN segment, which is the main advantage of Cisco DNA Center. I also like that you can use Cisco DNA Center for data assurance or correlation. The solution shows your network and client health parameters, which I find convenient for troubleshooting."
"Application Assurance works very well."
"The most valuable features of the solution are all of its security features...It is a highly scalable solution."
"Cisco VXLAN is a protocol that has been around for some time, but the practical implementation and operational capability of Cisco DNA Center bring it to life."
"We have many people from the team who manage a lot of devices. By using Cisco DNA Center, it has taken some of that burden away, we are impressed with it. We did the investment in CAPEX, but in the OPEX was very low."
"The solution has the capability to scale."
"I like the visibility, instant build, network, policies, and the ability to control access. I also like that you can visualize your whole network."
"The product offers an intuitive and automated way to manage user networks. It gives me an insight into the network health."
"The documentation has been satisfactory."
"The firewall and site-blocking features are valuable."
"I like the product's asset management which gives clear hardware details."
"The customer likes it for the graphs, the dynamics and the reporting functionality it offers."
"From a scalability perspective, I found the solution to be completely fine...The solution's technical support is absolutely fine."
"It does a little bit better than some of the other products health-wise and updates-wise. It is really clear that a firewall is getting the signature updates in this timeframe. In some of the other products, usually, you have to go a couple of screens in to see that, but not so much in this product."
"The role-based access controls give us granular control over what features to present to a customer, and the integration into FortiAnalyzer is the most valuable feature."
"I like the tool's controller facility."
"Cisco DNA Center should improve its configuration management. It is better to have a dev version before pushing it."
"They should include UTM features in the product."
"We encountered issues with their response times, which had a big impact on our workflow."
"DNA Center has been on the market for a few years and they need to update it."
"When it comes to deploying wireless fields, integrating defaults into the DNS interface can be challenging."
"The solution can be quite pricey."
"There are some software problems from version to version. It takes a long time for DNA Center to recognize the video and control access devices."
"Integration with analytic tools and API integrations would be ideal."
"The tool should provide a 10-15 days extension for customers when their license expires."
"So if it's more than a thousand, there could be some scalability issues. It becomes more complex as you go."
"I find their logging a little bit trickier to manage. The logging of events is broken up into a lot of different categories. Instead of breaking up my logs into several different places, I personally like to have all the events in one spot and then filter them down. In particular, I find that troubleshooting on Fortinet takes a little bit longer just because of those functional breakups in the logs."
"If you are a very small company or a person on your own, it's harder to get any response from technical support."
"The product must have in-built SD-WAN connectivity."
"It's useful for us but if it had more educational reporting, it would good. It's not necessarily lacking but it's an area that could get better."
"The solution is more expensive than other products."
"There can be defects in Fortinet FortiPortal when functioning at high temperatures."
