We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It enables us to build automation which is flexible in a controlled environment.""The current upgrade process is straightforward. They have made the process much simpler. After we get to version 12 and any subsequent versions going forward, it should not require any downtime at all. ""With the automation, we are able to provide background services. It is very economical and not possible to do manually.""It improves the visibility of what is going on on the system. If I have a problem, it is easy to identify, understand dependencies, and identifying the root causes than just running through scripts and searching through applications or servers.""I have found new methods for converting scripts from Dollar U to ONE Automation. For example, I take the dynamic library from Dollar U and put it in the dynamic binary library in ONE Automation. This enables us to use Dollar U scripts in ONE Automation.""Integration with most of the platforms that we have within the company's Windows, Linux, and Unix. Integrating these inside the automation agent for scheduling, backups, file transfer, and SAP jobs.""Unlike other Orchestration or Workload Automation tools, Automic Workload Automation stands out as a versatile single solution capable of handling various use cases such as business process automation, workload automation, service orchestration, and PR automation. There's no need for additional tools to make it compatible with your specific use case. Automic Workload Automation can handle it all without requiring any sideline tools to be installed.""It is easy to manage and customize the system. It performs well."

"Puppet Enterprise has reduced the time of production changes or environment changes.""Anything that we manage through Puppet always runs perfectly.""The versatility is great.""The main purpose for this automation tool would be: deploying, controlling, ordering change for the system and IT Infrastructure.""Puppet3 and 4 series provides optimum deployment solutions for infrastructure and applications.""Puppet Enterprise has good functionalities.""The most valuable features are the agent, high load balancing, and overall robustness and features.""Puppet Enterprise is a stable solution."

Cons
"The direction in which the UI is going is concerning to me. It does not offer the security context we would need to implement future versions. While I see benefit in the Web UI, the security it would lack in separating a user's experience from an administrator's experience is an issue for us. MFA functionality is required since we're dealing with connectivity to the POS and for PCI/SOX compliance.""The pricing has the potential to be high.""The SSH agent is missing in version 12.1. Maybe it would be a good addition to see on the web client of the next version of Atomic.""If you're getting deep into some of these workflows, you may have 20 different windows open and, if you didn't already have that deep understanding of how enterprise orchestration works, it would be very overwhelming to get up to speed on something like that... It needs some way to minimize the amount of windows and get it to where you could have all the information you need available on the screen.""I'm not sure what data they use to make time estimates. However, most of the time it is not accurate. It's either way too long or way too short.""From my point of view, the current product needs more stability.""Every time we have an upgrade for a new version, we have stability problems, because the versions are not as good as they should be.""For the user interface of version 12.1, I cannot find a lot of utilities and objects from previous versions, making me change my habits. This is not good."

"We would like Puppet to add more integration for applications.""The solution has really complex code, you have to understand the Ruby language. However, once you know the code then you can move ahead without any problems.""At the beginning the initial setup was kind of complex.""It's a bit of a pain point to make sure that everything works once we've upgraded it because Puppet has been evolving pretty fast.""Puppet Enterprise is more complex and difficult to configure.""Puppet Enterprise should improve the general extensibility for places where they can't install it.""There's a lot of scope for enhancement on the DevSecOps side. They should definitely include features for compliance, for both the Linux and Windows side of the devices, as well as for network devices. Compliance is something they need to work on."
