Find out what your peers are saying about N-able, MSP360, Vembu Technologies and others in MSP Backup."Granular restoration is extremely useful in Altaro VM Backup for MSPs since it is something that we make use of the most in our company."
"It's straightforward to set up."
"A full-featured option for managing virtual machines with an instant recovery feature."
"It is good and easy to use for backing up physical servers. It is working fine, and it is stable and scalable."
"Veeam is very useful for the Hyper-V environment."
"The solution is useful for taking backups for end-user laptops and end-user workstations where data is involved."
"If you have windows machine at home and you'd like a backup, you can always download their free edition and plug in an external hard disk, and do a full backup of your laptop."
"The product is free to use. We don't have to pay for a license."
"Technical support is good. They're very responsive. It depends on the timezone responding, but I usually get a response within three hours of creating a ticket."
"A technical person who hasn't received any dedicated training or hasn't gone through the documentation part of the solution may find the product to be a little non-intuitive at times."
"They should improve the solution's automation features."
"The predictability of the solution needs improvement. Sometimes, if it's doing something at the back end, it may go slow. Today, the backup completion took four hours, but sometimes it can do the backup in 30 minutes or an hour. With solutions like NetBackup, I can predict to a much higher degree of certainty how long something will take to complete."
"Updating and configuration can sometimes be a little bit of a hassel, but once you know the product better it is easy to use."
"A feature I would like to see is universal restore. At the moment, restoration can only be smooth on the same hardware. Let's say you have a server and you back it up with Veeam Agent, in case it fails or crashes. If you later buy a new server because the same one isn't available on the market anymore, there's a high chance that Windows will not boot up if you restore from the Veeam backup because the hardware is now different. Acronis has the universal restore feature, so it will work with generic drivers and you can restore Windows in any dissimilar hardware. As far as I know, Veeam doesn't have this feature yet."
"Troubleshooting is very hard."
"Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows should improve by having more features, easier deployment, and compatibility with Unix boxes."
"The support could be improved a lot, as it is currently non-existent."
"While the Veeam agent is perfect, sometimes the agent doesn't install in Windows."
