I think I would prefer SQL Server over HANA because it's been around longer and is more well known. Also, the later versions of SQL Server allow for in memory column store, faster analytical queries and plays well with open source solutions.

About me

Given my years of database experience (25+), my professional goal is to assist other DBAs and Developers to become successful (or to 'shine') in their work assignments. I can offer a wide range of database design techniques, tuning assistance, and personal/system performance reporting advice. Along those lines, not only do I hope to make the IT professional more successful in his/her postion, but ultimately, their end customers will benefit from that 'result' as well.

Specialties: Oracle ACE who has over 25 years experience in Oracle Database Administration and Development. Additional experience as DBA for Sybase, Informix, Progres, Progress, MySql and Sql Server databases. In addition, 8 years experience as a System administrator for VMS / DOS / Unix operating systems. Also, I've have over 10 years of managing/mentoring other DBAs.
