About me
I have over 24 years of experience in the software industry. I have been a practice lead/senior consultant/technical lead/designer/architect in major datawarehouse projects for the last 10 years.
The industry verticals I have been associated with are Oil and Gas, Retail, Telecom, BFSI, Manufacturing, Utilities and Healthcare.
I have extensive experience as a DBA, OLTP applications and DWH designer and data modeler.
I have managed a team of 400+ associates as an offshore project manager. I have been account manager for our customer in USA. I have created and headed the Ab Initio center of excellence as part of Business Intelligence practice.
Strategic consulting experience includes:
IM strategy definition: Often organizations reach a point when they realize that the current information delivery is not addressing business requirements adequately. The business, functional, technical and data architectures would need to be changed. I have contributed to leading such assessments with a team of consultants to engage with business and IT, analyse the functional and technical gaps, present back propositions in terms of an IM roadmap.
Data governance strategy: Large organizations often face the challenge of ensuring quality of enterprise data and its secure delivery. I have helped in undertaking engagements to implement data governance councils and processes to ensure management of data is more streamlined.
Platform consolidation: Multiplicity of data platforms is a common observation in many organisations. Consolidation exercises are periodically undertaken to minimize cost of operation and improve efficiency of information delivery. I have helped in analysis of existing environments to identify redundancies in data and functionality before defining a target architecture and a roadmap to achieve it.
