It's definitely value for money. I would tell someone who is looking at Veracode not to be concerned about the pricing because the value that they will get, for this price, in the market, is very good when it comes to their long-term plans.

Compared to Fortify SSC, which has a complicated setup requiring three installations, Veracode is easier because the app is hosted in the cloud. All we need is a support license, and they will create a project for us. We can create a firewall proxy, and the API pipeline is already in place. To create a scan for another application, we simply copy and paste the code and change the application's name.

I would suggest having a look at Veracode. Go for a trial of the system to see if Veracode is something that can help solve your problems. Pricing should be ignored because there are definitely some very specific features that help a lot.

There comes a point when we must make a decision between cost and quality, and we chose to prioritize quality by selecting Veracode. The confidence that Veracode instills in both our developers and clients justifies the associated cost.

The licensing model could be more flexible, and Veracode could be more accessible to smaller enterprises. We obtained Veracode through a consultancy. Veracode sets the price through consultation with our reseller, but I have yet to get a direct quotation without any other reseller in the middle. If you are worried about the price, I would say that you could request more information and do a trial, then see if you can negotiate an offer.

If someone who is looking at Veracode but concerned about the price, it probably depends on their technology stack. There are pros and cons for every decision. As a happy customer, I can say that the service level that I have received from Veracode has been high, and understandable every time That also counts a lot. And it's not about the software, that's about how we actually utilize the software best.

The price is worth it. You have to consider the cost versus the security Veracode provides. It's also cheaper than the other solutions we considered.

For us, it wasn't the most expensive solution proposed. Part of our decision to get Veracode was that when we evaluated against other products, Veracode was cheaper. What they need to measure is that you need a tool that is efficient and works for your products and how you develop, which has a nice level of detection and a low level of false positives. We make an evaluation and only choose tools that offer a good balance between providing good detections and a low amount of false positives. What was happening with SonarQube was that we had lots of false positives, making teams not care about the vulnerabilities because most were false positives.
