We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The internet security was a plus, and it's pretty good.""The dashboard is good.""The most valuable feature is the quick installation.""With the heightened security around phishing, identity theft, and malware, this is a good product.""Security Premium's best features are blocking, notifications, and the user interface.""The product is called Norton 360 all-in-one. It is a full product.""Flexible antivirus and antimalware software. It also provides protection against ransomware. It's flexible, easy to handle, scalable, and stable.""We like how it can check for issues. That includes files and web browsers."

"Speed""The most valuable features of the solution include the endpoint navigation protection, the protection related to the EMS service, as well as the control and the cloud integration capabilities.""I like that Webroot is very lightweight. It didn't bog down the machine, and more importantly, it had heuristics artificial intelligence to some degree. It wasn't like full-blown artificial intelligence, but something where you have one endpoint recognizing issues because it maintains a cloud database. If one client recognizes a threat, it would add it to the database, and almost immediately, every agent in the world would also know about that threat. That was very appealing to us. However, now it's becoming commonplace, whereas ventures like Symantec and McAfee were based more on the traditional model of definition and updates, and we were always falling behind. Webroot also has pretty good technical support.""We've not had any issues with scalability. If an organization needs to expand, they can do so quite easily.""It monitors traffic and keeps us from getting ransomware or other viruses.""Low performance requirements.""Valuable features include good scanning, very light footprint and management console that the client can access and (just as important) in which I can see status of groups of computers (I am a consultant, IT role).""It is very light. It is the only solution that can be installed on a machine that already has an antivirus. It is a pretty complete solution."

Cons
"Occasionally when you open a ticket, there's a lack of understanding that prevents the solution from being resolved directly.""I don't like the password manager of Norton Security Premium.""Security Premium's cost could be lower.""During scanning, sometimes, there is a heavy load on the workstation. This needs to be improved.""The solution can improve the security modules.""The only problem with Norton Antivirus is that it consumes a lot of resources like CPU and memory in the background. Whenever it's scanning, my laptop becomes very slow, and the worst part is you cannot do anything about it. As this product is secured by my local IT team, you cannot even kill that process, and that's what I've felt about many other antivirus solutions. I'm using McAfee for personal use, and I have the same problem.""Sometimes the program is too complex.""The product is an antivirus, it should be updated automatically when needed."

More Norton Security Premium [EOL] Cons →

"There needs to be more advanced analytics. It would make it a more powerful antivirus solution within the marketplace.""It needs to improve the problems with the faster connection, and have a huge reduction in false positives.""Its detection capability for certain attacks should be improved. It should have better and wider detection for certain malware attacks. It could also have some sort of RMN.""One of the biggest pain points is that it's not really ransomware-oriented. They will be able to catch some, but that's where Sentinel One is a better player compared to Webroot.""It would be great if there was a feature which would allow you to scan an individual file on an endpoint user's computer.""Webroot Business Endpoint Protection needs to focus on how they can widen their area of scope by not just being an antivirus tool anymore. The shortcoming in the customization area of the tool needs improvement.""The console spins up relatively slowly, and some of the configuration items are obscure (e.g., reporting back one time per day is a default setting) and need to be tweaked.""I want Webroot to be easier to use and set up. It is not very intuitive."

  • "The solution gives the value for the money."
  • "Security Premium costs around US$100 for three years, which is a little expensive."

  • "Our strategy was to overestimate the complexity and cost. It turned out that Webroot's assurance was justified."
  • "Get a trial, then a multi-year license."
  • "We evaluate other options using multiple choices, best value, management and functionality."
  • "Work on a price tier plan."

  • "I can't recall the exact pricing, but I believe there is a monthly fee of $20-30 per user."
  • "The solution is pretty cheap, actually. At our level, which is at 2,500 endpoints, we're paying 87 cents an agent per month."
  • "The solution doesn't cost too much. It's about 30 Euros a year for each endpoint. It's pretty affordable for us and for many other companies."
