We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"NGINX App Protect's best features are auto-learning, which creates a profile of applications that are deployed, bot protection, and force protection, which lets you configure your brute force policy and alert for and prevent brute force attacks.""The most valuable feature is that I can establish different services from the firewall.""WAF is useful to track mitigation, inclusion, prevention, and the parametric firewall.""The stability of the product is very impressive since it handles 60,000 to 70,000 requests or transactions per second.""It is a stable solution.""The most valuable feature of NGINX App Protect is its open source.""We were looking for a product that is capable of complete automation and a container based solution. It's working.""I tested specific features and evaluated the solution against the Web Application Firewall. I conducted research to test different detection percentages. I did not use it directly for protection but for evaluation purposes."

"It used to guide me about an alert. There is something called an alert guide. I used to click on the alert guide, and I could read everything. I could read about the alert and how to resolve it. I used to love that feature.""The user interface is well-designed and easy to navigate.""The UI is responsive and user-friendly.""The most valuable feature of PingSafe is its integration with most of our technology stack, specifically all of our cloud platforms and ticketing software.""The dashboard gives me an overview of all the things happening in the product, making it one of the tool's best features.""Cloud Native Security offers a valuable tool called an offensive search engine.""We like the platform and its response time. We also like that its console is user-friendly as well as modern and sleek.""It is fairly simple. Anybody can use it."

Cons
"It's challenging if you need to go for a high throughput.""They could provide a better user interface.""The price of NGINX App Protect could improve.""NGINX App Protect could improve security.""The dashboard could provide a more comprehensive view of the status of the connections.""The setup of NGINX App Protect is complex. The full process took one week to complete. Additionally, we had to change the network infrastructure platform which took one month.""Currently, the policies have to be handled manually, and you have to create from scratch, which can be a bit time-consuming, in a large environment.""Setting policies and parameters through the UI should be more automated because the process is manual, where we can only edit one rule at a time."

More NGINX App Protect Cons →

"There's an array of upcoming versions with numerous features to be incorporated into the roadmap. Customers particularly appreciate the service's emphasis on intensive security, especially the secret scanning aspect. During the proof of concept (POC) phase, the system is required to gather logs from the customer's environment. This process entails obtaining specific permissions, especially in terms of gateway access. While most permissions for POC are manageable, the need for various permissions may need improvement, especially in the context of security.""Sometimes the Storyline ID is a bit wacky.""While it is good, I think the solution's console could be improved.""We had a glitch in PingSafe where it fed us false positives in the past.""When we get a new finding from PingSafe, I wish we could get an alert in the console, so we can work on it before we see it in the report. It would be very useful for the team that is actively working on the PingSafe platform, so we can close the issue the same day before it appears in the daily report.""Cloud Native Security's reporting could be better. We are unable to see which images are impacted. Several thousand images have been deployed, so if we can see some application-specific information in the dashboard, we can directly send that report to the team that owns the application. We'd also like the option to download the report from the portal instead of waiting for the report to be sent to our email.""We can customize security policies but lack auditing capabilities.""We'd like to have better notifications. We'd like them to happen faster."

  • "The pricing is fair. It is not inexpensive, and it is also not expensive. When managing a large organization, it is going to be costly, but it meets the business needs. In terms of what is out there on the market, it is fair and comparable to what I have seen, so I do not have any complaints about the cost"
