We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"In MLOps, when we are designing the data pipeline, the designing of the data pipeline is easy in Google Cloud.""The infrastructure is highly reliable and efficient, contributing to a positive experience.""All of the features of this product are quite good.""Google Cloud Datalab is very customizable.""The APIs are valuable."

"The flexibility of the search capability is most valuable. You can use it for more than just a basic log aggregator. It is powerful in that regard.""Splunk allows us to customize processing and dashboards, which helps us take care of our customers' needs.""It is quite extensible. It is a platform that we can build our use instead of each case instead of each case being limited or restricted to each capability. This is probably the best feature.""Easy to deploy and simple to use.""Splunk helps us be more proactive. We can take predictive action to identify and block threats so that nothing harmful gets into the system.""The log aggregation is great.""Splunk UBA is useful for fraud detection and for detection of APTs, advanced persistent threats.""Internal tracking is helpful because we do not like to deal with multiple ticketing systems, and I am not a fan of ServiceNow. We are able to keep everything internal and utilize Enterprise Security."

Cons
"We have also encountered challenges during our transition period in terms of data control and segmentation. The management of each channel and data structure as it has its own unique characteristics requires very detailed and precise control. The allocation should be appropriate and the complexity increases due to the different time zones and geographic locations of our clients. The process usually involves migrating the existing database sets to gcp and ensure data integrity is maintained. This is the only challenge that we faced while navigating the integers of the solution and honestly it was an interesting and unique experience.""There is room for improvement in the graphical user interface. So that the initial user would use it properly, that would be a good option.""The interface should be more user-friendly.""The product must be made more user-friendly.""Connectivity challenges for end-users, particularly when loading data, environments, and libraries, need to be addressed for an enhanced user experience."

More Google Cloud Datalab Cons →

"Given the ever-increasing number of threats, I would like Splunk to update its threat signatures more frequently.""Missing capability for audio/video and image processing.""It is a good product, but the Achilles heel for a lot of organizations is the cost model for it because it gets expensive. That's because the model is based on how much data it processes a day, which can be prohibitive, especially if you have a lot of data. A lot of customers may not be ready for the sticker shock on how to fully leverage the product. I realized that the reason for that is that when it was originally designed, it was kind of like a big data modeling application. If they want to have a bigger customer base, they can come out with subsets of their product that are focused on specific things and have different pricing models. It may help with the cost.""Splunk has a steeper learning curve, making it feel less user-friendly.""The pricing can be better.""It is a challenge to manage the environment in such a way, that one’s log, even with the bandwidth license, isn’t exceeded.""It would be nice if Splunk reduced the cost of training. Their training sessions are way too costly.""Its interface and usability can always be improved."
