Offers easy-to-use tools that enable users to configure and maintain core business flows
Pros and Cons
  • "I find it easy to navigate, especially when it comes to tasks like extending offer letters. Everything is configured into a single template, eliminating the need to create multiple offer letters for different positions. The effectiveness, user-friendliness, and adaptability to new features are key strengths of Workday. It's also convenient for sourcing, allowing us to revisit candidates who performed well but didn't pass the interview. Workday's harmonized platform brings everything together in one place, making it efficient and streamlined."
  • "At times, I've heard from our technical team that configuring or implementing certain requests from senior leadership can be challenging. There seem to be constraints in fulfilling specific requirements. Unfortunately, I don't have detailed information as it's what I've gathered from discussions with the technical team. There might be limitations in what can be achieved, but I can't provide specific examples without more context. Certainly, there's room for enhancement, especially in terms of regular upgrades. I've noticed that there aren't many updates, and it would be beneficial to have improvements. Regular upgrades and the introduction of new, innovative solutions could make our work more efficient and easier to manage."

Pros and Cons
  • "It is efficient to fine-tune some of our organizational processes and policies."
  • "There could be more automation included."

How has it helped my organization?

The primary reason for opting Workday was migrating from on-premise to cloud infrastructure. We needed a global solution that was adaptive to different instances in our organization.

What is most valuable?

The platform's most valuable feature is understanding the effectiveness of business processes. It helps us audit and analyze transaction execution times providing us crucial insights. It is efficient to fine-tune some of our organizational processes and policies.

What needs improvement?

Workday Business Process Framework lacks automation features. We can work on a lot of customization with its on-premise version. However, there could be automated functionality for its mobile version as well. At present, it requires manual intervention. There could be more automation included.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We used Oracle's on-premise version before. However, we couldn't optimize it well as the concept of business framework was new back then. We have adapted Workday Business Process Framework and use it properly.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is complex in dealing with different countries, each with unique legal and legislative frameworks, which pose significant localization challenges. Our organization has a segmented structure, with different franchises operating independently, leading to a decentralized approach, making it challenging to unify processes and systems. We have to balance local requirements, including understanding the terms and the latest data. They should do R&D from an application's point of view.

It is a straightforward process once we know how to set up the business definition. It has certain limitations in terms of automated functionality. They could have more automation to reduce manual intervention.

What about the implementation team?

We take help from consultants with essential knowledge for implementation.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We evaluated Oracle Cloud ERP. We decided to use Workday Business Process Framework for better pricing.

What other advice do I have?

I rate Workday Business Process Framework a nine out of ten.
