Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Behind the scenes, SentinelOne has real people who evaluate problems and mark them as false positives. That's what I find most helpful.""The AI-based detection, scanning, prevention and mitigation features are the most valuable features.""The XDR capabilities are very good.""The biggest value for us is getting a much better picture of what our risks are.""The threat detection capability is the most valuable feature.""I like the detection and protection features. We don't need to do anything, and it will alert us when the mitigation is not successful. We only need to target those endpoints. Otherwise, we don't have to do anything about that.""One of the top things we're interested in is cloud protection.""Having high visibility into all of our network concerns and a customizable UI are the most valuable features."

"The biggest improvement has been knowing that something unauthorized isn't going to get installed on anyone’s machines.""The sandbox functionality is fantastic.""Application control, ring-fencing, and storage control are the most important features, followed closely by elevation.""The interface is clean and well-organized, making it simple to navigate and find what we need.""Using ThreatLocker is effortless because I can access it from an app on my phone, so I can help clients after hours. My client had an issue while I was at dinner, and I didn't have a tech on the problem, but I could deal with it from my phone. I can see what the client is doing and approve or deny it. It helps me deliver better service to my clients when they need it.""While it can be frustrating at times, we appreciate the low-level security provided by the application whitelist.""Feature-wise, the learning mode and the fact that it's blocking everything are the most valuable. I don't see why more companies don't use the type of product.""The most valuable feature is selective elevation, which allows elevating an individual process to admin privilege without granting admin privilege to that user, which has been by far the most useful feature outside of the overall solution itself."

Cons
"SentinelOne Singularity Identity could be more user-friendly.""The first-level support has room for improvement.""Our company has different locations, such as Sunbury, Oklahoma, and Alabama. I have my devices by location, and I have not found a way to choose all the endpoints and then push the update automatically. I have been doing it one by one.""The root cause of automation could be better.""The solution's query resolution time could be reduced further, and a faster resolution could be provided.""The primary reason for this discontent is that we frequently encounter performance issues with our servers.""The resolution turnaround from SentinelOne Singularity Identity's support should be improved.""The policies could be more precise, and Singularity should use more templates like alternative solutions have. Endpoint management is poor. We cannot manage individual endpoints and must rely on policies, exclusions, or block lists to apply settings to a group instead of the individual agent. If I have to make settings for one computer, I need to create a group, apply the configuration, and move the agent there. It's challenging to manage endpoints that way."

More SentinelOne Singularity Identity Cons →

"Something we have come up against a couple of times is that we have two clients that are software developers. They create software that doesn't have digital signatures and that's not easy to categorize or whitelist with ThreatLocker. We have to go in and make custom rules to allow them to do their work and to be protected from malicious threats.""More visibility in the built-ins would be nice.""The portal can be a little overwhelming at times from an administration point of view. It displays a lot of information, and it's all useful. However, sometimes there is too much on the screen to sift through, especially if you're trying to diagnose a client's problem with a piece of software. Maybe something has stopped working since they updated it, and we need to see if ThreatLocker is blocking a component of that software.""From a reporting perspective, enhancing the ability to customize reports would be beneficial.""ThreatLocker Allowlisting needs to improve its user interface and overall workflow.""If you have a thousand computers with ThreatLocker agents on them, when you approve or create a new policy saying that Adobe Reader that matches this hashtag and meets certain criteria is allowed to be installed, it applies at the top level or the organization level. It applies to every computer in the company. When you make that new policy and push it out and it goes out and updates all of the clients. Unfortunately, at this time, it does not look like they stagger the push-out.""The snapshots used in the ThreatLocker University portal are outdated snippets and have not been updated in conjunction with the portal itself.""Adding applications to the allowlist can sometimes feel overwhelming."

    Overview

Singularity Identity, a component of the Singularity platform, provides threat detection & response (ITDR) capabilities to defend Active Directory and domain-joined endpoints in real-time from adversaries aiming to gain persistent, elevated privilege and move covertly. Singularity Identity provides actionable, high-fidelity insight as attacks emerge from managed and unmanaged devices. It detects identity misuse and reconnaissance activity happening within endpoint processes targeting critical domain servers, service accounts, local credentials, local data, network data, and cloud data. On-agent cloaking and deception techniques slow the adversary down while providing situational awareness and halting adversarial attempts at lateral movement. Singularity Identity helps you detect and respond to identity-based attacks, providing early warning while misdirecting them away from production assets.

Singularity Identity’s primary use case is to protect credential data and disrupt identity-based attacks. The most valuable function of Singularity Identity is its ability to misdirect attackers by providing deceptive data to identity-based recon attacks. Additionally, it can hide and deny access to locally stored credentials or identity data on Active Directory domain controllers.

Singularity Identity also provides rapid detection and respond to identity attacks, capturing attack activity and feeding it directly to the Singularity platform’s Security DataLake for enterprise-wide analysis and response.

By implementing Singularity Identity, organizations benefit from enhanced security, reduced credential-related risks, and improved user productivity. It detects and responds to identity-based attacks, ensuring only authorized individuals can access critical identity data. With its cloaking capabilities to hide identity stored locally on endpoints or in the identity infrastructure and it’s ability to provide decoy results to identity-based attacks, organizations can effectively secure their sensitive or privileged identities, resulting in improved overall identity security.

The ThreatLocker platform is a robust Zero Trust endpoint security solution, safeguarding organizations against ransomware, malware, and various cyber threats through a unified approach. It incorporates key features like Application Allowlisting, Ringfencing, and Dynamic Network Control. Application Allowlisting ensures that only authorized applications run on endpoints, preventing unauthorized software and thwarting ransomware and malware threats. Ringfencing isolates approved applications from one another and the operating system, inhibiting malware spread and unauthorized access to sensitive data. Dynamic Network Control regulates traffic, enhancing security by closing unused ports and opening them as needed for authorized connections. The ThreatLocker platform simplifies security management with a centralized console and supports Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints.
