We performed a comparison between IBM MQ, Software AG Optimize for Infrastructure, and TIBCO Enterprise Message Service based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about IBM, TIBCO, Aurea and others in Business Activity Monitoring."I like the MQ's simplicity and rock-solid stability. I've never experienced a failure in two decades caused by the product itself. It has only failed due to human error."
"A stable and reliable software that offers good integration between different systems."
"The reliability of the queuing is the most valuable feature."
"I have found the solution to be very robust. It has a strong reputation, easy to use, simple to configure in our enterprise software, and supports all the protocols that we use."
"The thing that I like about MQ most is its reliability. It's one of those types of products that just works. You don't have to tinker around with it too much."
"The solution is stable."
"The solution can scale well."
"The solution is easy to understand and even medium developers can easily start using it."
"The infrastructure monitoring features are the most valuable. The primary purpose of Software AG Optimize for Infrastructure is to automate the aspects of monitoring various infrastructure and applications. They will definitely automate an alert automatically, but a lot of such tools differ from each other on aspects of various low-level components that they can monitor."
"The Enterprise Messaging Server will store the message and wait for other subscribers to come onto the network."
"It is very useful tool. It is also very easy to learn and implement."
"It allows us to achieve synchronous as well as asynchronous communication with the added advantage of making the communication reliable."
"I like TIBCO's ability to create versioned queues and persistent messages."
"The initial setup is straightforward and the product documentation is very good."
"TIBCO Enterprise Message Service's most valuable features are rapid zero-code integration and its large number of adapters and plugins."
"We have implanted the core middleware solution for the organization using this product and it is responsible for communication between different applications."
"The setup was done by TIBCO. It has been stable and has a server."
"If they could have some front-end monitoring tool that could be easily available for the team to use, that could be great."
"While there is support for API, it's not like the modern API capabilities."
"IBM MQ could improve by adding more protocols or APIs for a standard application, such as MuleSoft."
"The monitoring could be improved. It's a pain to monitor the throughput through the MQ. The maximum throughput for a queue or single channel isn't clear. We could also use some professional services by IBM to assess and tune the performance."
"I wanted to upgrade Windows Server. It's not that easy to move."
"The solution should offer a freeware version, free vouchers, or certifications for learning purposes and building knowledge base."
"I'm not sure that current version has event-driven mechanism requests that people go for. I would like the latest version to come with both type of event mechanisms: an email server and a POP server. If that is not there, then that would be a great addition."
"The integration capabilities could be even easier."
"Sometimes Software AG Optimize for Infrastructure goes through an upgrade cycle of four years to get to the next version. Some of the utilities need to be definitely advanced as well so that migration to the latest version is even smoother and easier. That could probably be the only improvements that they can look at. I definitely think that their cloud version capabilities are still nascent. They need to evolve into offering similar capabilities to the cloud infrastructure as well. That is not specifically SaaS but any managed infrastructure that customers would subscribe to in AWS, Azure, and other public clouds. How to employ Software AG Optimize for Infrastructure and also to see if it can be subscribed as a service from Software AG would be the ideal next steps for this solution to evolve into."
"TIBCO also has its proprietary line of cloud-based applications, but specifically, these two products are not cloud compatible."
"I would like to see better integration with Java and Apache Kafka."
"Since all the communications goes through this product, it acts as a single point of failure."
"Overall, my experience with the support team has been disappointing."
"An area for improvement would be integration with the API layer."
