    What is our primary use case?

    We use FortiManager on all four networks. Specifically, we manage 20 farms through it, along with another network housing 100 devices. Additionally, there is a third isolated network with 50 devices, and our corporate network includes 2,000 devices managed through FortiManager.

    What is most valuable?

    FortiManager is very helpful in managing our networks. We use it to manage 20 farms and various networks with hundreds of devices. The version we are using provides more detail than the older dashboard. We appreciate the alerting capabilities, which are integrated with SolarWinds to notify our team via SMS.

    What needs improvement?

    There are areas for improvement that FortiManager is addressing. We have not yet upgraded to the latest software versions, being a full revision behind, but we plan to update soon since the current version will become unsupported next month.

    What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

    I would rate the scalability of FortiManager as a nine. The version we are currently using offers significantly more detail than our previous version.

    How are customer service and support?

    Fortinet's customer support is very good. We have contacted them multiple times about various issues, and they quickly resolved them.

    Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

    Before I joined, the company used Cisco's products solely. The transition to Fortinet was made for ease of use and pricing.

    How was the initial setup?

    The initial setup for each network took a full day.

    What about the implementation team?

    There was a couple of contracts in place to assist with deployment due to our small team of three people.

    Which other solutions did I evaluate?

    The products from Cisco were what we used before migrating to Fortinet.

    What other advice do I have?

    The version we are using, 7.2, will soon be upgraded to version 7.4, which offers immense differences and more capabilities. Overall, I would rate FortiManager as a nine.

      What is our primary use case?

      We use FortiMonitor to monitor the infrastructure of our customers. We check on what is happening with their operations, monitor bandwidth, ensure configurations are appropriate for the customer, and identify if anything is going wrong.

      What is most valuable?

      The most valuable features of FortiMonitor are its redundancy and monitoring capabilities. It helps in knowing what is happening in the system, allowing us to fix issues or enhance configurations. The alerting capability is very proactive, making it good to have alerts for proactive system management.

      What needs improvement?

      Fortinet can improve FortiMonitor by adding the same visibility to other brands, because sometimes our customers use multiple brands in their network. It would be best if it could monitor multiple brands.

      For how long have I used the solution?

      I have used the solution for less than five years, maybe.

      What was my experience with deployment of the solution?

      The deployment experience is very straightforward and not complex to configure. For enterprise-level companies, within the first fifteen days, we have the solutions working so customers start to see all the functionality.

      What do I think about the stability of the solution?

      All solutions have issues, but my experience with FortiMonitor is very positive. It does not fail often, and the customers see it as a very stable solution.

      What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

      Chile is a small country, so my solutions might not compare to U.S. solutions. We have implemented solutions working with around a thousand different components, which is a big solution for us. In general, FortiMonitor is scalable.

      How are customer service and support?

      I have had very good results working with Fortinet's customer service and support. I would rate it a nine out of ten.

      The initial setup is straightforward and not complex to configure. On a scale of one to ten, it is rated an eight for ease of setup.

      We assign two engineers to implement the solution, which is more than enough for deployment.

      For our type of country, it is always expensive, but it has competitive pricing.

      Overall, I would recommend FortiMonitor to others. On a scale of one to ten, I would rate FortiMonitor a nine.
