What is our primary use case?
We're using Apollo.io primarily to find B2B leads and the contact details of important decision-makers. We're also using the solution to reach out to people selling our products and services, building partnerships with people, and running email marketing campaigns. We're using Apollo.io as a complete sales solution.
How has it helped my organization?
Apollo.io helps my organization reach out to people, mainly a target audience, which helps increase sales. The tool allows the organization gets more people to buy a product or service. It isn't easy to find a target audience without Apollo.io.
The tool also has a Chrome extension with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, so you can reach out to people you're looking for and book meetings with your target audience.
I saw improvements in my organization within one to three months of using Apollo.io.
What is most valuable?
What I like most about Apollo.io is it lets you find your target audience. You can filter for a target audience, which means narrowing down your audience to find people you're looking for who belong to different industries. On Apollo.io, you can filter by location, employee funding, and other parameters. The tool also helps you find verified contact details, apart from allowing you to send bulk emails to people you're looking to contact.
What needs improvement?
What's missing in Apollo.io is a proper CRM and pipeline management system. The tool is excellent at finding contact information, but it has room for improvement in sending emails and tracking the sales pipeline.
You can integrate Apollo.io with other tools, such as HubSpot, but I'm looking for CRM and pipeline management functions within the tool. I want all functionalities available and organized within Apollo.io rather than needing to integrate it with other solutions and enjoy better pipeline management and CRM functions.
For how long have I used the solution?
I'm currently using Apollo.io, and I've used it for more than a year.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Apollo.io is mostly stable, but sometimes when you search for leads, there is a delay in getting the information. You need to slow down your search process because you cannot search for thousands of contacts simultaneously. If you do that, Apollo.io blocks your account for twenty-four hours, but that is part of the guidelines. Overall, the product is stable if you use it based on Apollo.io guidelines.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
You can scale Apollo.io based on your requirements. My company can upgrade and downgrade the plans. There is no limitation, but if you downgrade, then some features could be reduced. If you're okay with feature reduction, you can downgrade with no problem, anytime.
How are customer service and support?
I use Apollo.io support, and I find the team helpful and always available. I have no complaints, so I'd rate technical support as eight out of ten.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
My company used Seamless AI and Hunter.io, but I found Apollo.io more affordable based on the number of leads it gives versus what other products provide.
Apollo.io has around one hundred fifty industries you can target, so it has a more extensive lead database than other products. The tool also has a more user-friendly interface and is easy to use versus other tools. You first need to learn how to use Apollo.io, which becomes pretty easy.
Other advantages of Apollo.io over other products include more filters you can use to find your target audience. It also shows you verified emails and has mass email and cold call features which you can't find in other tools.
How was the initial setup?
You first need to learn Apollo.io before you can set it up. It has many tabs and a learning curve, but setting the tool up is relatively easy. It took me two days to complete the deployment of Apollo.io.
What about the implementation team?
My company has fifty techs, so it doesn't need help from Apollo.io techs to deploy the tool. I deployed Apollo.io for the company.
What was our ROI?
There's ROI from Apollo.io because I'm paying $19 a month for it, but I'm at least making $500+ per month. I don't even use the tool a lot because some months I use it more, and some months I use it less, yet I'm earning $500+ monthly from the $19 monthly that I pay for Apollo.io.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I got a good deal on Apollo.io one year ago, but even the future pricing of the tool is more affordable than competitor pricing. I'm on an unlimited plan that costs $19 monthly. Nowadays, Apollo.io has a $99 plan that gives you ten thousand emails monthly. Other products would cost $2,000+ annually.
What other advice do I have?
There is little to no maintenance required for Apollo.io. Within the tool, if a lead changes his job or updates his contact details, Apollo.io will notify you, and it's up to you if you want to search for the correct contact details and manually update them within your account.
The ten thousand emails I get monthly from Apollo.io is more than enough. I'm not even able to fully use most of the data, so there's no plan to increase Apollo.io usage.
I'd tell anyone looking into implementing Apollo.io that it's a good tool for lead generation and finding contact details. Still, if you're looking for a complete sales solution that lets you send mass emails and has a pipeline management function, you should look into other tools, or you could try to integrate Apollo.io with another product. Apollo.io is not a complete tool for email marketing because you still need to integrate it with other tools for pipeline management and other missing features.
My rating for Apollo.io is nine out of ten.
My company is an Apollo.io customer.
