Efficiently keeps track of how many mailboxes are created, how many are deleted, and things like that
Pros and Cons
  • "We can use the dashboard to see which Exchange servers are currently having issues, their health, and other details. The GUI is very good."
  • "There is room for improvement in the reporting, maybe having more customizable reports would be good."

What is our primary use case?

We used Exchange Reporter Plus to monitor administrative activities on our Exchange server. Things like if anyone deleted emails. Also, email tracking and similar.

How has it helped my organization?

It's very good. It's improved email management a lot.

It improved the process in the monitoring of Exchange administrator activities on user mailboxes. We can look at that activity.

It makes it easy to create reports for management—things like which Exchange servers have large mailboxes and how many mailboxes are on each server. It provides a high-level view for the administration. So, Exchange Reporter Plus supports the decision-making process with its reporting functionality.

What is most valuable?

We can keep track of how many mailboxes are created, how many are deleted, and things like that.

It's a necessity for auditing to use a tool to monitor email tracking. So, it helps a lot with compliance.

We can use the dashboard to see which Exchange servers are currently having issues, their health, and other details.

The GUI is very good.

What needs improvement?

There is room for improvement in the reporting, maybe having more customizable reports would be good. ManageEngine ERP could do custom reporting.

For how long have I used the solution?

I used it for a month.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is a stable product.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It is easy to scale. So, the scalability is good.

I'm the only one to log in to the system. The mailboxes covered around 4,000.

How are customer service and support?

We never had any issues. It's very straightforward, so there haven't been issues. It's deployed in-house on our infrastructure, so everything connects successfully.

So, I used all the features with no problem.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

My company is moving to Office 365. So, they want to use Microsoft InsightApp Data Cloud 23. The mailboxes in on-premises will be moved to the cloud phase by phase. That's why they don't want to invest in Exchange Reporter Plus.

How was the initial setup?

It is very easy to set up.

What about the implementation team?

We did it in-house. The entire set up process took around two days.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing of Exchange Reporter Plus is very reasonable.

What other advice do I have?

Overall, it's very good. It's very user-friendly.

It is a very good tool to monitor whatever activities happen in your Exchange server. You can monitor the health of the server. You can monitor all the user mailbox sizes there.

I would recommend using it.

Overall, I would rate the solution a nine out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Helps track down missing emails and detects abnormal mail flow and identifies issues with the mail server
Pros and Cons
  • "The email traffic analysis feature is very useful."
  • "I am primarily interested in reporting and automation improvements."

What is our primary use case?

Exchange Reporter Plus is required in cases where emails are missing for some users and they need to track them down, or when there is a need to retrieve historical email conversations for investigation purposes.

It is also used to detect abnormal mail flow or issues with the mail server and manage the entire email exchange environment, including both on-premise and cloud aspects.

What is most valuable?

The email traffic analysis feature is very useful. It provides detailed insights about each email, excluding the email content itself. So, the visibility of email traffic is a standout feature.

What needs improvement?

Improved reporting capabilities and automation features would be beneficial. I am primarily interested in reporting and automation improvements.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using this solution for three years. We currently use the latest version.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would rate the stability a nine out of ten. It is a really stable solution.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Since it is specifically related to Exchange Server, scalability within that scope is high. It can accommodate as many exchange servers as needed, including hybrid environments.

So, it is highly scalable. I would rate it an eight out of ten. It fits our needs.

It has mailboxes for 1500 users in our organization. In our organization, every user is using this solution. It is used to its maximum potential round the clock.

How are customer service and support?

Customer service and support are amazing.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

How was the initial setup?

The setup process is very easy. I would rate my experience with the setup a ten out of ten, with one being difficult and ten being easy.

What about the implementation team?

The person who took care of the deployment was Exchange Administrator. It only took one day to deploy the solution. It involved software installation and configuration with the exchange servers for integration.

We just kick-started the process, and it took care of the rest automatically.

The solution does require maintenance. The same person, one Exchange Administrator, is sufficient.

What was our ROI?

The ROI is a 100% with Exchange Reporter Plus.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I would rate the pricing a four out of ten, where one is low price and ten is high price. It is affordable. We only have to pay additionally if we increase the license or if more users join.

Currently, we have 1500 users, so anything extra would need to be added. So, in the future, we might have to pay additionally for some additional users.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We did not evaluate any other options. During the demo of ManageEngine and other products that we were originally looking at, Exchange Reporter Plus was shown to us as an option. We liked it and decided to go for it. And we achieved a 100% ROI after implementing it.

What other advice do I have?

I would recommend it. I would rate the solution a nine out of ten because it provides very detailed email information, especially during times of crisis or situations where other tools only give surface-level traffic events.

Exchange Reporter Plus goes deeper and provides a comprehensive understanding of the situation, ensuring good stability.
