Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The backup retention was pretty good. Being able to archive users who had been backed up, is a good functionality. Even if they've been deactivated it'll keep the backups and keep them protected."

"The installation process is very easy.""It is easy to use and easy to recover files.""Veeam Backup for Office 365 has good security, and I also like the process they use for backups.""The most valuable feature of Veeam Backup for Office 365 is the ease of use. You only need to create a folder in your drive and it's as simple as dragging and dropping files to store them.""The product offers good stability.""This covers the areas of backing up Office 365 that Microsoft does not include in its standard routine.""We are able to store it on various cloud providers such as Amazon S3, Rocket, Azure, and IBM Cloud. It can also do on-premise integration, and we are able to use storage from on-premise. We are also able to recover data. It is a really good and intuitive solution. Veeam has developed a fantastic product. I've never seen anything that I don't like about Veeam. It looks like a very complete solution. It is really mature, simple to use, and quite interrogative. It also has APIs for writing scripts.""I want an additional copy of my data in the Office cloud and it works."

Cons
"StorageCraft wasn't getting full backup coverage. It was backing up around one to 2% of the points. It was not a reliable platform and it wasn't giving any sort of alerts that things were not working."

More Arcserve Cloud Services Cons →

"This is a cloud solution, and the speed can be slow sometimes.""The documentation for the installation is good. However, if you are new to the environment the installation could be difficult. The first time we did it it took approximately four days.""Veeam is quite expensive.""When you add a new site for backup, it gives you a notice that there is a new site, but the way you select that and configure that could be slightly better. It works, but it is not always very clear. For example, for the URL, you need to hover over the title or the name of the site. You should see it immediately on the screen. It should have a better user interface for selecting what you want to back up so that you get a more clear overview of the sites that are there and the ones that you want to combine in a backup. Its user interface should be more user-friendly. It has a lot of scrolling and doesn't give you a complete overview when needed. That's the main thing why it is not very user-friendly. It should have a better user interface.""The customer service and support response time can be improved.""The solution could improve by having the ability to back up without an agent installed on the system.""The solution is costly.""In some instances, a customer is not necessarily backing up Microsoft 365. For instance, they might be backing up a large Oracle database. It would be nice if they could tweak it to compress the file, so it's easier to transfer a huge file."

    Overview

Local backups are usually enough to recover IT systems from server failure and other common problems. But a site-wide disaster will destroy those backups and result in major downtime and data loss for a business. Arcserve Cloud Services is a cloud-based disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS) solution.

When paired with Arcserve’s backup and recovery solutions, Cloud Services (DRaaS) ensures complete and reliable business continuity. It is architected from the ground up to streamline data backup and recovery management, and to get critical systems back online with speed and ease. You can replicate backup images from OneXafe, ShadowXafe, OneXafe Solo, or ShadowProtect, to our Cloud Services (DRaaS), giving you the tools you need to keep business running no matter what happens.
