We performed a comparison between SolarWinds NetFlow Traffic Analyzer and ThousandEyes based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Darktrace, Vectra AI, Auvik and others in Network Traffic Analysis (NTA)."What I like about SolarWinds NetFlow Traffic Analyzer is that it's useful for analyzing traffic. It also has an application visibility feature that lets you control applications."
"What my organization likes best about SolarWinds NetFlow Traffic Analyzer is its easy deployment. It's also well-integrated in terms of monitoring because my organization also uses a SolarWinds solution for monitoring. You can connect SolarWinds NetFlow Traffic Analyzer directly to that monitoring tool to get information. My organization also finds the default graphs that appear before the configuration in SolarWinds NetFlow Traffic Analyzer very useful."
"It helps us know when a branch is down because it has a graphic presentation of all the locations a node represents."
"What I like the most is the bandwidth assessment."
"For managing the traffic, it provides you a response about whether the traffic is down, up, or heavy, which is a very powerful feature. It has a good response time. We have been using this solution for many years, and we don't have any problem with this solution."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to look for any increases in bandwidth over time so that we can plan before it becomes critical."
"It is great at telling you if your devices are working and it keeps an eye on your network's overall performance."
"The performance analysis is a valuable feature. With the performance analyzer, we can see the realtime monitoring, the realtime performance, and historical performance on specific components like virtualization storage, CPU, servers and network equipment."
"The solution's initial setup process was straightforward...In terms of ROI, the solution is worth the money."
"The most valuable aspect of the solution was the ability to see how the connection quality is between the sites and get an alert if it was turning bad."
"The most valuable feature of ThousandEyes is user-friendliness. It has been essential for us to have a solution that is easy to use."
"From our perspective, ThousandEyes stands out as an invaluable tool because of its deep and extensive capabilities."
"ThousandEyes gives companies better visibility."
"The installation process is not hard at all."
"The solution is very easy to use."
"The company provides excellent service."
"Technical support could be improved with quicker response times."
"NTA's documentation for the implementation phase needs some enhancement."
"This solution does not do a very good job when I am trying to look deeper into my internal network, in particular with respect to individual ports."
"One area that we struggle with is the price. Because the price of this solution is so high, we are largely unable to introduce it into the local market, and only the banking sector has the means to afford it."
"They should work on the configuration of the Log Analyzer feature."
"The price of the solution is a bit high for our clients. They should consider adjusting their price model."
"I would like to see better customization capabilities."
"If your network is on SolarWinds, and you notice that the traffic is bad because it says "user downloading a heavy file," it doesn't indicate which endpoint is downloading those heavy files. SolarWinds doesn't have the tools to be able to handle this kind of situation. You can just notice through your network device that the traffic is becoming overwhelming or heavy, but you cannot go inside and get more details related to the endpoint where it is happening. We would like SolarWinds to be able to handle this kind of situation and even manage the traffic inside a network from the endpoint to the network device. These would be good enhancements. It is mostly stable. The problem comes only when we want to add another SolarWinds model. SolarWinds has so many models, and sometimes when we want to add other models on the platforms that are reserved for our firm, it freezes. When this happens, we have to create a new VM for that model."
"Presently, it lacks the ability to integrate with other Cisco products."
"Once I fully use the tool 100%, I'm sure I would have something to critique, however, for now, I'm happy with it."
"It would be nice if the solution covered other areas like server monitoring."
"There is room for improvement in terms of customization and user-friendliness."
"I would like the product to offer more agility."
"The tool does not provide features for application-level monitoring."
"They only offer synthetic requests."
"It's an expensive solution."
