Earlier, users had to make yearly payments towards the licensing costs of the product. The licenses were expensive, but users used to get the best device to use.

It is inexpensive compared to new products like Rubrik or Cohesity. They offer discounts to government organizations.

The solution’s pricing differ in some conditions. It offers perpetual licence. I rate the product’s pricing a six out of ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive.

Dell NetWorker is not overly expensive. I would rate it as a four out of ten in terms of costliness.

We are in the educational sector, and I believe we receive significant discounts. I don't know the exact RRP (Recommended Retail Price) for this product. We have some sort of a deal between the local Dell for Asia Pacific and our university. Our pricing is very good.

The solution follows a subscription model for licensing. We pay annually to use the solution and the price is high.

I rate the pricing a six out of ten, where ten is a good price, and one is a high price. The price could be lower.

The price for this solution is cheaper than other products. The price is the only reason we are renewing, otherwise we'll be moving to Veeam.

Dell EMC NetWorker is very expensive. Licensing fees should be reduced. It is a bit expensive, but it is a good application.

The price of the license could be cheaper and it would be a benefit if they came up with a new pricing model. The competitors here in Oman sell universal licensing where a number of virtual machines are hosted at the customer place which can be licensed, or you can license the CPU sockets in those servers. However, NetWorker offers only CPU sockets or overall storage capacity to backup, but there is no universal licensing where you can provide a number of VMs. They should offer more options to stay competitive with other solutions, such as Veeam.

There is a license required to use the solution and it is on an annual basis.

The pricing of the solution is not the cheapest compared to other similar solutions. The Networker is available as a component of the Dell EMC Data Protection Suite package and it should have the ability to be purchased separately. The solution requires a perpetual license. We can upgrade the solution without the need to be renewed at an additional cost.

We do need to purchase a license, but sometimes, it comes as a part of the Dell Data Protection Suite (DPS). It has a capacity-based licensing.

Licensing is based on the number of terabytes, so you need to purchase packages.

While it's my understanding that the solution is a bit expensive, I'm not in sales and therefore can't really comment on actual costs. I can't compare it to other options on the market.

The pricing for NetWorker is in the mid-range. It is not very expensive and not very cheap. There are some extra features that required an additional license. For example, we save a separate data protection suite (DPS) license.

The price is a little on the high side, but it's reliable and provides a good service. There are other products on the market with better pricing, which makes it a challenge to sell NetWorker.

In terms of pricing, yes, of course, EMC is cheaper. Commvault is more expensive. Maybe with the latest release, EMC Networker became more expensive, but I have no idea about the latest prices from EMC. Whatever we spent on EMC NetWorker was far cheaper. What I've seen is renewal prices. Maybe the price of the implementation would be more expensive. But, at least from what I've seen, Commvault is more expensive than EMC NetWorker.

We're using a capacity-based license. My administrator can take backups as per we have the license. Our license includes support and maintenance.

It is excellent from the pricing point of view. It is free with Data Protection Suite. Similarly, when you purchase Avamar, Dell EMC NetWorker is free with one terabyte license capacity. Its price is very competitive.

The NetWorker price point is excellent. When you purchase the Data Protection Suite, NetWorker is free with that suite. If you purchase Avamar, NetWorker is free with Avamar, for one terabyte license capacity. NetWorker is very competitive.

Licensing rules are very complicated in NetWorker. The license depends on, in one version, the value of the backup data, and, in another, the physical workstation. It changes from version to version.
