Arista Networks Platform was cheaper than Cisco. I have heard that the product is affordable for enterprise-sized companies.

There is a need to make yearly payments towards the licensing charges of the product. I rate the product price a seven on a scale of one to ten where ten is high price and one is low price.

I find Arista's pricing to be good. While it is not the cheapest, it's more affordable than Cisco or Palo Alto, offering a comprehensive solution that includes everything I need. There are no false alarms or unexpected fees, making it a cost-effective choice for the features and reliability it delivers.

There are several different platform arrangements for Arista devices and Cisco devices. I cannot say exactly what the prices of each arrangement are. However, I remember that when our customers were offered the Arista Networks Platform, they used a checklist to compare the prices between Arista and Cisco for their requirements, and found that the prices were almost the same. With Cisco, I know that they are generally a bit more expensive than other products such as Hauwei and Aruba.

Specific tools definitely require a license for the subscription. But we are not using these tools in our environment. In terms of licensing, you need to spend approximately $10,000 per month.

I know that Arista is more expensive than the Catalyst or Nexus. I can't speak to the exact pricing.

The price of the Arista Networks Platform could be less expensive for the hardware and license.

The product is fairly expensive. It's not a cheap option. Clients need to be ready to pay. There's an annual license with Arista. Though the unit of calculation is monthly, the license has to be procured on an annual basis. It's an annual license, and again, it's pricy.

It is pretty pricey for a networking platform. It is on par with Cisco.

Arista is largely a cloud player catering to the Googles, the Facebooks and all the big players. Price-wise we have a disadvantage pitching Arista, especially against somebody like Cisco who has been in the sector for a long time. We are often fighting Cisco from the pricing perspective with their larger productions and licenses. In terms of licensing, there are costs related to both licensing and support. We pay for licensing yearly.

Arista and Cisco are comparatively the same or Cisco a bit more expensive depending on the platforms. However, I like Arista's licensing approach. Cisco licensing could be made simpler.

Arista is very expensive. Not everybody is in a position to spend $70,000 to $80,000 for one switch. For our customers that have a budget of $4,000 to $5,000 for one switch fabric, we generally recommend NETGEAR. That is also a very good switch. If somebody wants something cheaper than that, we recommend they go for something else. For a market like India, Africa, and Asia, people always think twice because Arista is expensive compared to the competition. Of course, it's not an apples-to-apples comparison. There are no other products that you can directly compare with Arista. It's the difference between getting a V12 engine and a generic engine. You need to be able to afford a V12. Arista is not for everybody.

Arista Networks Platform is a stable and reliable solution for data center features, specifically for non-blocking switches used for spine-leaf connectivity with servers hooked to these switches. It also provides multi-layer switches for client networks, particularly in the banking sector.  Arista products are preferred for their stability, good hardware, ease of adoption and configuration, responsive and helpful support, and high throughput ratings. The solution has helped prevent...
