To someone evaluating whether to go for Alteryx, I would say it's more simplistic, and you don't need a computer science engineering degree to use it. However, analysts should have a basic understanding of databases and SQL. If your analysts possess these skills, they can quickly grasp the solution. Additionally, staying closely connected with your IT teams during implementation is important to ensure that all components are installed for optimal results. Overall, I would rate the solution an eight out of ten.

Alteryx uses the UI interface wherein you can easily do a lot of things, and it doesn't have to code a lot. My initial objective was to understand if a non-technical person with a small data science team could leverage a platform that can do a lot of things other than putting in a lot of resources. That's one of the reasons why our company chose Alteryx. Alteryx is one of the few tools where user experience and customer feedback are up to the mark. I was from a non-technical background, and I wanted to create operators and do a lot of analysis and data cleaning on my own. With Alteryx, I didn't have to do anything except create the flow. I would recommend Alteryx to other users. Overall, I rate Alteryx ten out of ten.

In today's world, where every field deals with data, it is essential to have tools that enable us to manipulate, clean, transform, and build dashboards from data. Traditionally, Python and other programming languages were used for data preparation, but now with Alteryx Online, even individuals without coding experience can enter the field and provide valuable solutions to clients. This makes it a useful tool for anyone who needs to work with data. I rate Alteryx a nine out of ten.

Alteryx is the best solution for people who want their data in a structured way. It is a bit complicated for a new user. The complexity of the tool is evident by the fact that only if you provide an exact input to this tool it will give you the output. However, if you know a little about Alteryx, it is a very good tool for you. We are using an on-cloud deployment for this solution. Overall, I rate Alteryx a seven out of ten.

I am not using the latest version of the solution. We're always one or two versions behind the latest, as we only do updates once or twice a year. The great thing about the solution is that if you know Excel well, it translates very well into Alteryx. It's important to have an open mind; however, I'd recommend everyone give it a try. I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.

I rate this solution a seven out of ten. We target different domains because Alteryx is a product that can fit all kinds of domains. For the next release, they should focus on the cloud. They should be platform agnostic so they can be easily integrated with multiple cloud systems. It should have the capability to work as a SaaS product.

At first, you need to know the capabilities of Alteryx. It's a good idea to attend a lot of webinars or do a project. That would be really helpful to understand how powerful Alteryx is. Alteryx is used a lot in financial industries, according to what I have seen. It becomes really taxing to do everything in Excel or spreadsheets. Something that would take an hour or two hours to do it manually can take five to 10 minutes for Alteryx. Therefore, try a small project or understand the intricacies of Alteryx and that will get you started. I'd rate it seven out of ten.

I rate Alteryx seven out of 10. I recommend using the 14-day trial version to learn how it works. You can use some of their in-house data to try real information or run a parallel. The trial version is super helpful for making a decision and understanding the capabilities. That's what kind of sold me.

My advice to others is that the solution has a lot of room for expansion and they should get going on a couple of use cases, even if they are small automation use cases, and then build from there. You can always build in machine learning and more sophisticated use cases as you go along. I rate Alteryx an eight out of ten.

We were an Alteryx partner. In terms of Alteryx, we resell the solution to our clients. I do have a team that handles the implementation. I specifically look for clients and see if there are any other excuse use cases that we can do with them. Be aware of it, there are several versions, and there is a free trial that they can use. Once they understand how to do everything you're doing in the system, it's very simple to transfer it to Alteryx. I would rate Alteryx an eight out of ten.

If you're implementing Alteryx, you should get the Alteryx application and take advantage of the self-study materials available in their portal. It'll be easier if you try out this application before you start working on the toor.

Simply strike a balance between democratizing the use of data transformation and analytics and having a vision for how you might want to roll things out. I think it's not the easiest thing to strike that balance, but that's my recommendation. To try to have a plan, but also to make sure you're not putting up too many barriers. I would rate Alteryx an eight out of ten.

I would rate this solution 9 out of 10. Alteryx is the kind of software that a corporation would want to go with and to deploy on for people who are not really data scientists and that have to use data, design dashboards, have to clean and prepare data and so on. That's an effective way to use Alteryx. To go for a sophisticated data science type of added value, a data scientist would want to work with programming languages and use a lot of the libraries that are available. At some point, they would want to put all this code and integrate this code into the platform so that less sophisticated users can use the analysis done outside operational lines. This is definitely the kind of software that is a time-saver if you want to start working on different data sources or a lot of data sources, and you want to work with the data, angle the data, cross-link and so on. It's very good and very easy to use. It's visual, so it's easier to understand what you are doing. When it comes to putting some intelligence into it, it's enough for most people. There is enough that is loaded into software that can help you. The Alteryx interface may be easier to understand than KNIME. You are able to do some nice things with it in just a week.

Any company considering a data processing platform which is light, offers good flexibility, and deals with moderate or low sized data, will find this is a really good spend. If, on the other hand, you're working on big data and a higher volume of data, this may not be the right choice for you. I rate this solution a seven out of 10.

We don't use all the functionalities due to the restrictions we have inside our network. So far, what we use is enough. We can't extend to use all the functions and all the capabilities the tools have. However, that is because of the unique internal restrictions we have. We use the solution just as a reporting tool and consolidate information from different systems to create analytics, however, I know that Alteryx has far more extended capabilities than we have explored. We use it as a personal user tool. We don't use it as a company strategy to move databases from one side to another side and make consolidations. We use it on a very small scale. I'd recommend the solution to others. I'd rate the solution nine out of ten. We've been largely satisfied with the solution.

We are partners with Alteryx. I'm using version 21, the latest version, which may be either 21.1.4 or 0.3.2. I would advise potential new users to go through the community to learn. They should go through the learning path for the Alteryx solution for both the designer and the server. It's good to take it slowly. New users should be able to do this within a month or two. The solution is pretty straightforward to learn. I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten.

The choice of product really depends on your needs. I would prefer to use NinePlatform for open sources certainly, but if you're after a proprietary solution because you have different needs, then I think Alteryx is a really good solution if you are looking for a scale. It all differs from case to case depending on requirements. It's about the feasibility of the product for your specific use case, so I rate this solution a six out of ten.

I would definitely advise others to give it a fair look. It's a great product. It is not marketed as a solution to all different types of aspects of analytics. We are Alteryx partners. I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten. It's a very good product, however, the pricing makes it quite expensive. In comparison, I love Dataiku. I've seen it's a very, very good product and we are working hard to start offering this product to all our customers. They have an option for companies to from medium-size to large-size. However, they don't have options for small customers. That said, you can start from, for example, an investment in $30,000 and up. You can go progressively investing in the product. That's not the case for Alteryx.

We are just customers and end-users. I would advise other companies considering the solution that the training is important. They've been great working with us on free training for this, that, and the other. The company really does provide a lot of those resources. The community is very good. The knowledge base that's out there in the community is great. A company should just tap into that and any free training they can. It takes a little bit of time to get proficient at it, however, the payoff is there. Overall, I would rate it at a seven out of ten.

If a customer already has a data engineering and analytics team, I would lean towards RapidMiner and DataRobot, depending on the specific need of the customer. If they want more AI, I would recommend DataRobot. If they want more analytics and data, I would go with RapidMiner. If they don't have a data engineering and analytics team and they're starting something afresh, or if they have a capacity issue with the analytics team, then I would recommend Alteryx. Alteryx works out pretty okay if they don't have a sufficient number of qualified data and analytics people because it goes with the philosophy of citizen data scientists. We're a corporate user and end-user of the product. While I don't know the version number off the top of my head, I can say with certainty that we are using the latest one. The solution is going to be best for technical users or people that have hands-on experience with data such as data scientists or people that can be creative and deal with multiple different databases and different permutations in the structured query language right across those different databases. It's fairly standard, however, not completely, and so, people in that realm tend to be able to function well, people that are analysts may struggle and have a bit of a learning curve that they have to deal with. I've been doing this throughout the information life cycle - about 35 years plus. Therefore, for me, it's my second nature. Others that haven't been exposed to technology over that timeframe may struggle. I'd rate the solution ten out of ten.

Although I use this product regularly, I used to code for many years and I am not a big fan of tools like Alteryx. I don't think that it's a good product, and the reason is that when the use cases get more complex, the models get exponentially larger and more complex to put together. My advice for anybody who is implementing this product is not to underestimate the need for training, in particular, when your use cases get a little more complex. I would rate this solution a five out of ten.

I would suggest that the decision to purchase the product should be based on a company's level of deployment. If it's for a process for a pharma company, which is a smaller enterprise. then I recommend starting with KNIME. As the data gets bigger, switch to Alteryx. I think they should have a student version just like Tableau does. Not all the tools, but the basic top 10 or 15 tools. The reason I suggest this is because there's a huge need for Alteryx users, but because of its 14-day trial period, a lot of students cannot get a handle on it so a scaled-down light version would be good. I would rate this product an 9 out of 10.

Advice that I would give to people considering Alteryx as a solution depends on the real needs from business to business and in accord with what use cases they have. I think Alteryx definitely takes away the potential problem of having to have a lot of technical expertise. Any business user can use Alteryx to develop their business case and use the program's options much quicker without having the technical knowledge and programming know-how. It really depends on the skills and resources of the individuals in the company. They should use Alteryx if they want users to be able to walk through the process and deploy their own use cases without having a deeper technical knowledge and skills that other products may require. What we have learned from using the product is that it is definitely a great advantage for the business users to not need to have great technical skills and programming knowledge to complete their analysis. The business users can build their own analytical use case, visualize what they want to do more easily and quickly, and revise it without any dependencies on other staff and additional communications. On a scale from one to ten where one is the worst and ten is the best, I would rate this product as a seven-out-of-ten.

I have a really good impression of Alteryx at this point in time. So I would suggest to people who are considering this type of solution to go ahead and try it. If you are looking for a self-service data analytics tool, Alteryx is a good solution. It does a good job of end-to-end integration as well as accessing data from multiple sources or email modes. Then you can push data out to Tableau and Power BI or tools like that if you need other capabilities. So, 'go ahead and try it' would be my recommendation. On a scale from one to ten where ten is the best and one it the worst, I would rate Alteryx as easily a solid eight. From my use case and considering the point that I'm not seeing and using everything, I can't give it more or less. But from our use case and what we have in our company, it is pretty good for several purposes.
