We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It allows us higher visibility into our data, which allows us to data-check faster, and validate data that we had not been able to validate, prior.""It's extremely easy to use in getting into the IDE and then back down to your applications, and getting from your applications to your pages, and navigating through all your tables. That's very simple and pretty intuitive.""Vinyl has been a game changer in how we can now quickly deploy key features and new products.""It is a platform which can grow with us and get us out of spreadsheets.""You can unite data which lives in different sources without moving that data.""It's customizable to whatever you see might use it for... It's very user-friendly, and the front-end is exactly what we need to see, very simple. It can get more complicated too, if those are the needs.""We have been able to leverage the platform to rapidly build custom solutions, and tailor-make them to our needs.""There are two most valuable features: one is the ability to pull data from a bunch of different places and put them together. And the second is the speed at which you can get a new app developed. So instead of waiting months for this new app to come out, if you have an internal team putting it together, you can roll it out in weeks. I've even seen days. It's incredible how fast you can make changes."

"The deployment process is quite straightforward.""Zoho Creator is a flexible and powerful solution. I like the tool's advanced modification feature which helps to modify its layout and setup scripts.""While using Zoho Creator, we can establish alternative interfaces to connect with Zoho applications. This enables us to run desired automation and workflows without exhausting the API limits.""It is very easy to build applications on the product.""Zoho Creator is easy to design and accessible for any business purpose. The solution is priced low and helps you meet business requirements. You can write a script based on requirements and trigger it whereby the customer will receive notifications. It is a customizable application.""Zoho Creator helps to maintain the products in development.""The product’s MIS feature is very valuable to us.""It has a simple user interface, not so difficult to use. You can add AI models, integration, and third-party connections."

Cons
"Having been a customer of theirs for a long time, I think the UI needed improvements early on. But, they have done a remarkable job catching up in that regard.""I sometimes find formatting tricky to get the front end of an app the way I want it.""It might help if they put out different types that would provide different ways to view the data. I'd like to see more on that.""There are some acknowledged technical limitations. I was looking to do some metadata manipulation, which is very atypical. Zudy said that they will work on building me a workaround. If there is a weakness, that would be it.""The interface has had a lot of changes to it. It is better than it was before. However, with the subqueries in particular, this has been the most difficult part of the interface.""When designing the user interface, there are many built-in features; however, Vinyl could use some more extensive design elements that are used in marketing, such as Canva or Web design tools. These would allow for more extensive design elements to be added more easily.""Some new features I think I'd like to see is visibility into running jobs so that we can see what the status is, or it's not stuck in its process and doing its thing, or how much longer it's going to take. I'd also like to see a native calendaring function so we can put calendars into our apps with maybe even recurring tasks or appointments and that sort of thing. We'd also like to see multi-select lists. The users being able to pick multiple things to filter on and get a list and be able to export that list.""If it could be prettier, it might be a bit more attractive on the business side. The most meaningful improvement might be done in some of the aesthetics of the reporting and dashboarding."

"The user interface and the user experience should be improved.""We face issues while moving from one form to another form. We have a negative impression of the tool's support since they do not provide us assistance with our queries. They don't have solid answers to our questions.""Zoho Creator could benefit from improvement in regard to the user interface and user experience of the forms. The forms themselves could benefit from being made more interactive, with increased flexibility and customization options for both developers and users. This would allow for a more engaging experience when interacting with the forms and provide more opportunities for customization to meet individual needs and preferences.""I would rate the scalability a seven out of ten. So some room for improvement as well for scalability.""They should allow for more UI customization.""Though the pricing level is low compared to other products in the market, I suggest they allow portal users to pay for the solution based on their requirements.""Zoho Creator's UX design needs to be improved.""The layout of the form site needs some improvements because you can only create a basic layout and templates in the forms."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "It is affordable."
  • "You always look for the underlying cost, there's always underlying costs but the value is fine. I don't think it should cost any more. You pay for the software but you're also paying for their employees, when they work onsite for you."
  • "Pricing is less than the cost of a consultant and the value you receive is much greater."
  • "Pricing was actually one of the things that drew us to the product initially... the way it was licensed at the time, I got a flat monthly fee from Zudy for the Vinyl product, which allowed me to basically have unlimited use of it... We have an annual license, we pay monthly. It's very competitive and very worthwhile given the return we get out of it."
  • "The key thing here is that the pricing is just one price. We can do as much or as little with the product as we want to which is very attractive. I don't have to worry about if I build a new app, I have to pay more. Or, if I put 20 more people logging into the app, I don't have to pay any extra for that either."
  • "I feel the product’s pricing is a good value. The licensing model is very straightforward. You license the platform and you can build however many solutions you want with it."
  • "We have seen a 30 percent decrease in time for some of our workflows."
  • "Pricing and licensing are expensive."

  • "We would prefer it if the price went down drastically."
  • "It is at the bottom end of the price range."
  • "The plan provided is presented on a monthly basis, giving an idea of the cost each month. However, the actual cost is calculated and charged on a yearly or annual basis. The cost is displayed in a detailed manner, breaking down the amount charged annually, and presenting it in a monthly format."
  • "I rate the solution an eight out of ten for pricing since it is really cheap."
  • "The Enterprise version costs INR 1500 per month."
  • "Anyone can start using the solution with less than 15 to 30 dollars a month per user. It is worth the money."
  • "The tool's pricing is flexible."
  • "Zoho Creator started at 800 rupees, about $10 per month."
