We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Personally for me, because I do a lot of development, I like that it is easy to test mathematical algorithms with several matrix calculations. It's perfect for that.""The tool's most valuable feature is the Simulink environment. This feature provides an incredible capability to visually represent the system behavior before creating the code. It allows you to see the flow and interactions of the system, which is extremely beneficial for software development. With this visual representation, you can better understand the system's behavior, make necessary adjustments, and ensure maintenance and updates. This capability is why I love working with the product."

"It is easy to use and has a huge community that I can rely on for help. Moreover, it is interactive.""The most valuable feature of RapidMiner is that it is code free. It is similar to playing with Lego pieces and executing after you are finished to see the results. Additionally, it is easy to use and has interesting utilities when preparing the data. It has a utility to automatically launch a series of models and show the comparisons. When finished with the comparisons you can select the best one, and deploy it automatically.""The data science, collaboration, and IDN are very, very strong.""The best part of RapidMiner is efficiency.""The documentation for this solution is very good, where each operator is explained with how to use it.""The most valuable features are the Binary classification and Auto Model.""RapidMiner is very easy to use.""The most valuable feature is what the product sets out to do, which is extracting information and data."

Cons
"In the area of improvement, sometimes there are issues with the speed of MathWorks Matlab, particularly in the Simulink environment. The tool's latest versions can be slow to open, taking significant time to load. Additionally, saving data and integrating models can also be time-consuming processes.""To make use of the GPU, you have to have an Nvidia card. What I would want it to do is to run in Next Generation with Intel or AMD, and not just with Nvidia."

More MathWorks Matlab Cons →

"Improve the online data services.""I would appreciate improvements in automation and customization options to further streamline processes.""The visual interface could use something like the-drag-and-drop features which other products already support. Some additional features can make RapidMiner a better tool and maybe more competitive.""In terms of the UI and SaaS, the user interface with KNIME is more appealing than RapidMiner.""RapidMiner would be improved with the inclusion of more machine learning algorithms for generating time-series forecasting models.""RapidMiner isn't cheap. It's a complete solution, but it's costly.""Many things in the interface look nice, but they aren't of much use to the operator. It already has lots of variables in there.""RapidMiner can improve deep learning by enhancing the features."
