Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"We have contacted technical support a handful of times and received some assistance.""Kerio Connect is secure, flexible, and easy to control from the user interface. It has many security features able to be controlled from one place, such as anti-spam. I have found it very convenient. Additionally, you can analyze log files and share folders which is helpful.""The user interface is good.""What I like most about Kerio Connect is that it supports ActiveSync, and that is its most critical feature. The solution is also a nice, simple, robust, and stable mail server.""The most valuable features are its ease of use, excellent pricing, and it is platform agnostic.""It's relatively simple to use."

"Communication is the most valuable feature of the solution.""The initial setup is quite a straightforward process. I don't think it is a very complicated solution. Plenty of things could be more complex, but the ordinary, general settings are quite simple.""It's a very user-friendly application. The mail server is also valuable when compared to other services like SquirrelMail.""It is user friendly.""The backup and archiving features are valuable, it is user friendly too.""I find the desktop version of Microsoft Exchange looks better than the online version. You can make it a white background. You might be able to make the online background white, but I have no idea how to do that. I know how to do it only on the desktop version""It is very well integrated with other Microsoft programs, teams, and so on. They work well together.""Microsoft Exchange is a powerful solution. It can easily integrate with Active Directory and other business applications. It does not require any training, it is flexible and simple to use. When comparing Microsoft Exchange to other solutions, such as Lotus Note, it is more straightforward for business."

Cons
"The search and archiving documentation capabilities need to be stronger.""Most of our clients use Outlook and Kerio Connect. Occasionally, Kerio can be a bit slow. They could make it faster to get onto the web interface without so much load time. It's just slow with Outlook, however, for some reason.""Having a native Outlook map integration would make Kerio Connect better.""I would like to see better support from their support team.""The solution could improve the redundancy because we only have one copy of the Kerio Connect server on our hardware. The next step for us is to move to the cloud and if Kerio does not have a cloud version available they should release one""It could be simpler to use and install, but I still wouldn't use it because there isn't a compelling use case."

More KerioConnect Cons →

"The platform could be more user-friendly.""Exchange can be a little finicky, sometimes, or flakey. Last week, for example, I had gone into my calendar to check on some briefings that I had established, and then went back into my inbox, and suddenly the view had changed. I had no idea what it was that I had done, and I couldn't figure out how to get that view back. I took a productivity hit as a result of that, trying to fix it, due to the fact that it just wasn't what I wanted. It wasn't what I was used to working with. Two different tech support people had to work with me in order to get the view back to what I wanted just so I could be productive.""The solution should be easier to deploy.""Microsoft Exchange is highly stable. However, after receiving some updates it can be unstable.""Deployment should become a bit easier, the process is a bit complicated. You have to have done it one or two times before you get it right. The first time you do it, it won't be perfect. There are a lot of complications compared to Gmail For Business, which is a bit easier when it comes to configuration.""Currently, its administration is too cumbersome. It's unwieldy. It's slow. It consumes too many resources. Configuration needs to be much more streamlined and administratively automated.""Load balancing is lacking.""There are limitations in terms of the number of emails that can be sent in a minute, which makes it a little difficult for the marketing folks."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The pricing is about $3 per mailbox per month."
  • "The price of Kerio Connect is better when comparing it to others solutions."
  • More KerioConnect Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "They are flexible when it comes to pricing, unlike most of the other vendors I have dealt with."
  • "It's working very well. There is no problem, but the price is not the best."
  • "Its price is okay."
  • "It's a little bit expensive."
  • "Its price is very affordable, and basically, it is the standard of the industry. We have the Exchange 365 subscription, which includes the usage of Exchange Online. I don't know the specific cost, but it is the retail price of Microsoft 365 E3 licenses. Microsoft's licensing is not very easy to understand. Microsoft changes rules every other day, which makes it difficult for us to understand the licensing not only for Exchange but also for other products. It can sometimes be really complex to understand what you need to have in order to comply with Microsoft licensing."
  • "Microsoft doesn't have a unit price, it's based on the quantity, and they offer great discounts."
  • "We are currently using enterprise licenses for the solution. They are different pricing models available. There are individual, cloud-based, and enterprise licenses all with different pricing models. The larger the number of users, the lesser the price. For small to medium companies like us, we feel it is expensive."
  • "Its price is fair."
