We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"NGAV and EDR features are outstanding.""The setup is pretty simple.""Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance.""The product's initial setup phase is very easy.""The product detects and blocks threats and is more proactive than firewalls.""This is stable and scalable.""The solution was relatively easy to deploy.""It is very easy to set up. I would rate my experience with the initial setup a ten out of ten, with ten being very easy to set up."

"Support has been helpful.""The product's most valuable feature is the flexibility of installation with the console and a simple administration strategy.""The encryption feature that allows you complete control of your device is what I found most valuable in Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Optimum.""Instead of having to wait for alerts, the IT security team can actively hunt for threats by proactively scanning endpoints to spot anomalies and security breaches.""The initial setup was easy.""The most beneficial aspect of Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Optimum is its protection capabilities, followed by its device management capabilities. The ability to remotely install software is highly advantageous, making it a convenient and helpful feature.""The solution is very user friendly, which we appreciate.""I mostly like how they capture particular files and submit them to other files, and they have the solution console. And for example, we are using the one in for an application, like, on the RansomFree, if there are any vulnerabilities in patches coming, in the future, they fix these."

"I like Singularity's rollback features, threat-hunting, and Ranger Insights. The Ranger feature scans the network and provides visibility into all the unsecured assets.""The solution can search for hidden and dormant threats on encrypted traffic in your environment.""The solution is powerful because we just have to update the agent by using the console, which is simple to do. I just select the endpoints and click "Update" on the console. That is it, because it is very easy to use.""The external drive scanning is great.""In incidents, SentinelOne's remediation is excellent; we can immediately see if the threat type is dynamic or static.""It's quite scalable.""The autonomous platform is valuable because we can separate false positives and negatives.""The best feature of SentinelOne Singularity Complete is that you don't need to configure a lot with it because it provides an unmatched layer of protection out of the box."

Cons
"Once, we had an event that was locked and blocked, but information about it came to us two or three days later.""FortiEDR can be improved by providing more detailed reporting.""We've encountered challenges during API deployment, occasionally resulting in unstable environments.""We find the solution to be a bit expensive.""I would like the solution to extend beyond endpoint protection and include other attack surfaces such as other network components.""Everything with Fortinet having to do with their cloud services. They need to invest more in their internal infrastructure that they are running in the cloud. One of the things I find with their cloud environment compared to others' is that they go cheap on the equipment. So it causes some performance degradation.""Making the portal mobile friendly would be helpful when I am out of office.""Integration with Azure and SaaS provisioning tools could improve Fortinet FortiEDR."

More Fortinet FortiEDR Cons →

"For improvement, they should make the scanning process faster. The scanning and updating take more time.""We have had some issues updating Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Optimum.""Security features could be improved.""In terms of the Pakistani market and talking from a salesperson's perspective, I'd suggest that Kaspersky introduce a bundle of Kaspersky EDR-Optimum or Kaspersky EDR-Expert along with its Business Select/Advance suite.""We would like more data to be available from this solution, in order for it to be usable in strategic decision making.""The solution needs to give more control to users on firewalls.""The initial setup is a bit difficult.""They should provide more notifications for incidents and more clarification or information about malicious activity."

More Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Optimum Cons →

"It would be nice if the console stored data daily, so that you could look at a timeline of events on a machine over a period of time, and currently this is not possible.""Some of the reports that are exported through SentinelOne can be complicated for people who are not IT professionals. For example, we have some people within our leadership who would like to know why we are spending so much money on their product, and one of the ways that we are able to do that is through reports. Some of those reports are pretty easy to understand, and some of them are very complicated. Because they are not IT or security professionals, they may not have the same grasp. I wish their reporting feature was a little better.""If there is a vulnerability that we know about, I search for that vulnerability—for example, Adobe. There are different versions of Adobe, but I'm not able to compile them into one report. I have to create separate reports for those versions.""It's good on Linux, and Windows is pretty good except that the Windows agents sometimes ask for a lot of resources on the endpoints. That could be in the fine-tuning for scanning. In Mac, they are complaining about the same problems, that it's using a lot of resources, but that could also be that we have to configure what it is scanning and what it should not scan. Currently it scans everything.""We are now using an external monitoring tool to monitor the services of SentinelOne, because apparently they don't have any solution for that. When the SentinelOne agent is down, you can go to the interface and see a mark on SentinelOne that something is not correct or the server needs to be rebooted, but you will not get an alert. You will not be warned that there is an issue with the SentinelOne agent. I have found that a little bit disturbing, because then we need to use a third-party monitoring tool to make sure that all services of SentinelOne are up and running.""Improvements for SentinelOne's Singularity Complete could include adjusting pricing for specific markets, ensuring affordability, and better alignment with customer expectations in those regions.""It is an expensive product.""Native integration with the mobile console is an area that can be improved."

    Reviews from Real Users

Below are some reviews and helpful feedback written by Fortinet FortiEDR users.

An Owner at a security firm says, "The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. It lets you run in a very small window in terms of memory and resources on legacy cash registers. The customer has literally about 800 cash registers. That was the use case for Fortinet FortiEDR - to get that down into a tiny space. The only way to do that was to use this product because it had that ability to unbundle services that were a surplus.”

Chandan M., Chief Technical Officer at Provision Technologies LLP, mentions, “The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration.” He also adds, “The security is also very good and the firewall response is good.”

Harpreet S., Information Technology Support Specialist at Chemtrade Logistics, explains, "It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain."

DeAndre V., Senior Network Administrator at a financial services firm, states, “The dashboard is easy to follow and use. The deployment and uninstalling were easy. I like the detailed information about the path of a file that might be suspicious. Being able to check that out was easy to follow. Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance.

Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) Optimum delivers straightforward defense-in-depth against complex and advanced threats with no additional overheads. Use automated and 'single-click' responses so you can ensure every last piece of the threat is rooted out of your system.

    Reviews from Real Users

Jeff D. who is an Operations Manager at Proton Dealership IT, tells us that "The detection rate for Sentinel One has been excellent and we have been able to resolve many potential threats with zero client impact. The ability to deploy via our RMM allows us to quickly secure new clients and provides peace of mind."

"The most valuable feature varies from client to client but having absolute clarity of what happened and the autonomous actions of SentinelOne are what most people find the most assuring." relates Rae J., Director IR and MDR at a tech services company.
