We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It is platform-independent and can flawlessly work on any operating system using the latest security standards.""Triggers are something that is very useful as they automate the use of boilerplate code, and we can define certain functionality of certain tasks also.""One of the standout features of this particular tool is its automation capabilities.""The tool can transfer files of any size and type without any issue.""The user-friendly interface has made it easy for fresh users to adopt it.""We can send the data quickly and securely.""It keeps a clear record of all the file transfers that take place, the person who initiated them, and the outcome of the execution.""Valuable features include a comprehensive management UI and a strictly controlled managed file transfer."

"The platform has been very consistent and responsive.""For the tool that we used to have, we had specially trained developers who used to do all the development of EDI maps and the configuration. But with SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite (BIS) now, we were able to train our EDI analysts, and because the tool has very simple, intuitive mapping capabilities, even our EDI analysts are able to develop all the EDI maps, do all the configurations, and do all the setups for any of the trading partners.""It has enabled digital business processes. It's the connection between our ERP system and the rest of the company. We were able to automate processing invoices digitally like an inbound invoice and FastPay payments.""It has a lot of basic EDI already established for all the main users. Also, it lets me share setups that I had already set up for my first plant. I was able to use them for my second one which was very helpful. I didn't have to start from scratch for my second facility.""We can use it to script and monitor processes.""We had a requirement for transferring data to Amazon S3 buckets but we did not have a solution in our shop for large data transfers to Amazon S3. We worked with SEEBURGER and created a framework solution and now, using that solution, we can configure the transfer in an hour or two and enable it to go to existing or new S3 buckets.""The tool's performance doesn't get affected by transformation loads. You can write any number of rules, filtering criteria, transformations, etc.""Another aspect that we employed in the last year-and-a-half has been their CMA platform component, which hooks to the SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite (BIS) front end. We've been able to set up an automatic testing process for our partners."

Cons
"Setup is time-consuming.""The initial setup is time-consuming; it could use a video tutorial.""Improving the error handling feature can help users to identify and resolve issues more quickly and efficiently.""The product's pricing needs improvement.""Providing initial guidance would help new users to understand the UI.""They could create an in-depth document so that any user with little to no background can implement this and use the software effectively.""The documentation part can be improved to be more precise for beginners to understand the advanced features of the tool.""Support for more complicated workflows, such as conditional logic or branching, could be added to allow users to create more advanced automation processes."

"When we got SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite (BIS), it was clear that it was going to take more of a technical person. It does take a technically-rooted individual to operate it. It's not something for your everyday guy to do. For what it's doing for us, a dedicated resource is required.""Java is very old technology and they should move away from it, to anything that's better.""The initial setup is not the straightforward. It took couple of months for us to set up.""API connectivity needs improvement as well as the GUI. The GUI hasn't changed that much in 10 years, but of course, that's already been updated. I would say I'm excited about the screenshots but that's about it.""Some of the functionality for retriggering documents, where you have to step through a termination process and then retrigger it, versus just being able to restart or retrigger more easily, is a bit challenging, depending on the scenario.""The integration is not so excellent. While I'm not saying there is a problem, there is no pattern. When we start a new project, we have to work with new people and processes every time. The technical side of their system is very good, but their change process is not repeatable. It needs to be rebuilt each time.""I would like there to be a feature that could handle the limited server.""SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite does not have an end user or subscriber console which can show the traffic status."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The software is expensive compared to other vendors."
  • More JSCAPE by Redwood Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "The pricing seems to be competitive and the maintenance is standard."
  • "The pricing and licensing is very competitive."
  • "I did a review of other options out there, as we moved into the future and our SAP implementation, that this would be the right solution. It was very comparable to other manage services out there. Thus, there wasn't any clear-cut reason to go in another direction."
  • "The cost of the SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite (BIS) can be considered high. We have elected to have SEEBURGER consulting do the installation. Licensing could also be considered high. However, one would be hard pressed to find another product that does all that this one does."
  • "It has a very goofy pricing model in the sense that they have so many components and it's not very clear what components you require to do your work. When you ask for that, you learn that there's a surcharge for them. It's not that you buy a product and you can use all the compatibilities. They have all these different bits and pieces of it and you have to pay extra for all those things."
  • "Pricing, compared to the tool that we had earlier, is cheaper."
  • "The way they have their licensing structure set up, they have a lot of different modules. For us, we did not really know if we were licensed for certain things or not. We had to reach out to them multiple times to tell them that we were looking for this or that capability. We had to buy licenses for different things at different points in time, not knowing that we could have it bundled initially."
  • "The pricing is cheap. In fact, when I saw the pricing, I thought, "Really? What's the catch?" But the functionality that we get out of it, for the price we pay, is great value."
