Pros
"We can manage the entire system across the network and troubleshoot the pain points."

"Scalability. I have never had to worry about how to handle really big environments.""The most valuable feature is the NMS because that's the core of the system. Without the NMS, the other tools aren't that usable.""In 90% of the cases, new devices are plug-and-play, so when a new version comes out then SevOne has support for it out of the box.""The automation feature is good because if your CMDB is OK and it is already in sync, then the automation part is good to go.""SevOne’s data collection functionality is very good. From a collection point of view, we pull SNMP data, which is simple. It is easy to manipulate the pull in the estate. It is really simple compared to some of the other products that we have used. However, for deferred data, i.e., things that we import or don't pull directly, we tend to have a preplanned integration. So, its Universal Collector is really useful.""Data Insight reporting tool is the most valuable feature. They came up with it a couple of years ago. The most pleasing factor is the dark theme. You don't have a white background. It has templates that you can create for all kinds of reports that you can hit on the fly. It's much better printing of the reports. If you want to send PDFs to people, the reports are actually decent. Whereas for years, the old architecture of the PDFs was rubbish and even our customers said, "We have to manipulate your PDFs because they all have bad margin breaks. SevOne fixed that a couple of years ago with the new Data Insight. It's fantastic.""We find that the reporting is particularly valuable in terms of not only communicating with our peer teams but also with the executives.""We have benefited mainly from the use of the dashboard interface. It makes the network visually interesting for other people who are not in the network. A lot of people are not network techies who understand streams in the network. Based on location, we have streams coming in and out. They can see visually when there is some problem. They don't need to understand all the network technology behind it to be able to understand if everything is working well or if there is a problem."

"Enables maps to be drawn out.""Chain management is a good feature. I don't get it on other solutions.""A reliable, time-saving tool for providing accurate layer 2 and layer 3 network mappings.""NetBrain is a very simple tool.""This product has good network monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities."

Cons
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."

More Juniper Mist Premium Analytics Cons →

"The reports are easy to configure but they are a bit outdated in terms of appearance and visualization.""We previously have had discussions on some reporting enhancements. So, we raised a feature request, which was delivered from SevOne.""The one area with room for improvement is probably administration. They added data insights to make a better user experience, but I'd like to see some improvements in the way the system's administered.""Their virtualization solution is not compatible with our Kubernetes environment, which is one of the reasons we are ending our relationship with them.""There are some tweaks and enhancements that I've already requested. One is to be able to make changes per device rather than as a global setting. That has to do with naming. It's minor.""One area that requires a little bit of improvement is the topology of visualization and being able to map out connections, end-to-end. It's able to do that, but it's not as impressive as we would like it to be. We would like to understand the different interface types and the connection points better, through the visualization. Heatmaps also need further development.""Software upgrades can be tricky is not easy.""The customizations are very hard. The person doing it has to be very good at analytics and has to be very good in all languages"

More IBM SevOne Network Performance Management (NPM) Cons →

"Each device needs to be configured to allow NetBrain to poll for the information it needs, which can be very time-consuming for a large network.""It would be nice if the setup was a little simpler. Also, if the solution could provide more training materials for new people coming into our company so they can quickly learn how to use the functionalities.""The solution could integrate more automation.""The IP interface brief isn't consistent.""Support needs to improve for the installed product and some of the reporting could be more flexible to provide more complete cataloging."
